Even though BBH is a massive douche for some of the things he's done, HG is and was partly supported by him.

I personally disagree. Munchy did have a classic Hunger Games gamemode for a short amount of time (about a few months), better known as RumbleHG. After advertising and getting several different youtubers to upload trailers and videos of RumbleHG, it was unfortunately not as succesful as was anticipated. Games were not very big; 10-20 player games on average. The gamemode eventually died and was shut down, not because the staff couldn't maintain it, but rather because players were not interested in playing Hunger Games anymore (the concept of HG was not as popular as anticipated). Therefore, Munchy evidently does not have the player base to maintain HG; unless, of course, the HG community from Brawl were to migrate over to Munchy, then I could see HG being more popular. Not to mention that Munchy's playerbase has had a massive decline over the past few months (they went from peaking at 300 players on weekends to around 100, and they barely get 80 on weekdays). Also, for people who think that Munchy's community consists of a large amount of older McPvP players, you are incorrect. It's actually full of inactive, and ignorant staff who think they know how to moderate and run a server, as well as 11 year olds who suck up to BBH and everyone there is a massive tryhard for mod (just go look at their forums if you don't believe me, that community just revolves around becoming staff lol). Sorry about that little rant- just thought I'd let you know what kind of community Munchy actually consists of.

Btw, Munchy is currently developing another variation of HG, however I predict that it won't be succesful because of the lack of interest in HG in Munchy's community.

In conclusion, I have to disagree with you. Munchy is evidently not the place for HG to go, considering it's community, community interests, as well as seeing how their server is just as corrupt as Brawl.

 

So maybe we should just trash HG afterall.

I think selling it to munchy would be a terrible idea. Munchy has made multiple attempts at making hg-like gamemodes and they have all failed. I say this speaking as a former moderator on the server, @Stormneo can confirm this as well.

Selling it to hclewk isn't a bad idea in all honesty. He seems extremely motivated to make gamemodes as good as he can right now with the amount of work he's putting into mcrpg. He's gotten back into the minecraft scene and is very eager to build up a community.

 

No need for all caps. Plus, I'm pretty sure Brawl isn't taking your money, because all people who got Elite for free are going to be ridden of that rank pretty soon. And this is being directed to Sky_Productions, not jarboyp.

Sadly, I believe we should sell HG to another server if the turn out on this tournament isn't good. It'd just show that not many people are interested in it or just not interested in brawl. We all just have to wait and see tomorrow!

Also, personally, I don't want HG to be sold to Munchy, due to their fracaso of a gamemode

 

You could try selling it to the Brazilians. They have a strong HG playerbase there.

 

Starting this post by saying that this isn't really about HG. I am replying to Stormneo's totally butthurt comments. I'll give my short opinion on HG at the end if anyone just wants to skip past this part and go to that. I normally wouldn't waste my time replying, but I felt that if anyone deserved a good wake-up call it would be storm.

Last time I checked, Lacota, BBH, FBM & myself (Four of our eight admins) & Cheater, Marik, & Callahan (Three of our four senior mods) have all been around the McPvP community much longer than you. That's a pretty hefty number if you take into account the fact that you have been around for a fairly long time also.

Well, saying as you leaked the IP's of each and every one of our staff members, had them ddosed, and even leaked the IP of one of your closest IRL friends, I don't think that you have a right to call us ignorant, but who am I to talk? Also, as for inactivity, how do you know? If you hate munchy so much, are banned on your main, and you don't have access to any stats!?!? The only way you would even have any clue is if-- you go on alts and play munchy! You applied for staff at Munchy, and threw a huge hissy fit when you were denied, saying how corrupt we were. Yet, you went on to go and leak all of the staff members IP's, and attempted to dox BBH, I think we made the right choice. Again, we don't revolve around who get's accepted for mod, it's actually the opposite. We have accepted 8 people for staff in over 6 months, and saying as we have avoided promoting people like you, I'd say we've done a decent job.


ANYWAYS, in case anyone cares about what I have to say about HG:

HG is an out of touch gamemode with the minecraft community now. Even those of us who say we would play it if this happens or if that happens, it's not true. We want to think we would, but we wouldn't. Minecraft has evolved past that, HG has evolved past that, we have evolved past that. I think that Brawl is in an unfortunate situation, and honestly, they probably should sell the domain, but anyone that would buy the plugin itself is a fool. They did their best with it, they just didn't understand the view point of the McPvPer's, as they never went through all of the stuff that McPvP did, and it was already on the way down. I think it's possible that an HG style gamemode could get popular, but nothing that would be distinguishable as current or past HG. It would just be labeled HG and have the general 'feel' of HG.

Those are my thoughts, and none of this represents Munchy, I just came across this and felt that I should respond.

You caused a HUGE crisis back on MCPVP after BBH decided to do something idiotic. He gave you utter freedom from punishment after you threatened someone with DDoS and various other incidents for which any normal player would have been banned, maybe even reported to the police. But no, a friend of BBH gets different treatment.
You really can't complain about anyone here and their past, when your's is ignored (evidently).
