Every time I try to log on a CTF server, it keeps kicking me saying "You are sending too many packets!". I need more detail what this means, it doesn't make sense. Sometimes it happens in the hub too if I get kicked from the hub. Why am I getting kicked for this?

It's lag. It may be your internet but I also have noticed that brawl's hubs have been laggy af lately. Wait a few hours to see if that fixes it or use a direct ip to one of their servers (ex. mcctf.com, mc-hg.com, ect)

Optifine has nothing to do with this. It improves FPS lag but not Internet. What you're experiencing is internet lag to the server. Try to connect to the hub and then connect to a ctf server from there.

tried that too, that doesn't work either. sometimes it's even worse connecting using the hub because then I get into an automatic disconnect loop - meaning I keep getting kicked into another hub over and over again for the exact reason "You are sending too many packets" without a way to stop it, even if trying to leave the hub you can't because the kick message keeps showing then jumping into another server hub.

If you have access to your router you should try turning it off and then back on. This has a tendency to improve download times. If not, then try closing out of any other applications open on your computer that use bandwidth.
