[Event] 2nd Annual CTF Prom | #CTFProm2k16

Sup CTF’ers!


As some of you might know, one of my favorite events I love to host every year is the CTF Prom. This is a match where couples sign up (and get harassed by everyone asking if they’re dating), and go against another random group of couples in some casual CTF games. In previous versions of this event, it was a moderate sized game varying from 10-15 couples. Since this is the first prom event on Brawl, we’re going to have a slightly bigger event to compensate for our bigger player base, as well as potential interest from an overall bigger community here on Brawl. That being said, we will be having 20 couples spots right off the bat! I doubt we’d be using this many players but the idea is to make this more open overall, considering the signups were a little strict back then but I’m gonna be a little more relaxed with them this time around.

Now I’m sure you’re all wondering when this is going to be, and I’m happy to report that this will be taking place on Saturday, July 2nd at 2PM EST. It’s also expected to run for about an hour, since it’ll just be three matches.

If you’d like to sign up, please leave a reply below with you and your date’s IGN. The roster will be filled on a first come first served basis so make sure you get your dates quickly! Also please make sure that you can actually attend the event and that your date is willing/able to attend the event before signing on as the slots may fill up very quickly and we want to fit as many people as possible.

That being said, there will be rules for this match and they are as follows:

• All mandatory match rules found here.
• Ninja capping is allowed, but no premature pearling.
• There will be a limit of 2 Pyros, 2 Assassins, 2 Medics, and 2 Archers.

Once we get closer to the date of the event, the couples will be randomly assigned to a team and I will then ask each team to come to a consensus on their pick for a map. The third map will be one of my choosing, which will also be unveiled at the same time the other maps have been selected. I also recommend using a platform such as skype/discord to communicate with your fellow couples/teammates for the match as I’m sure it will be intense (or teamspeak if you’re into that sorta thing).

P.S. As always, I reserve the right to remove anyone from the match or prohibit them from participating for any reason.
