    > Introduction <​

    Welcome to Going Ham, Capture the Flag's first major newsletter! Going Ham was created in the era of MCPVP, at which point the community's forums ran using Discourse, customized by the legendary NomNuggetNom. The newsletter ran for a total 25 editions, although it was plagued with inactivity about halfway through its existence. However, it inspired the creation of various other newsletters on the MCPVP forums and was continued for a little while by a Going Ham writer, Tenshirox, under the name Bacon Bits, Bacon Brawl, and Phoenix. Unfortunately, the inactivity that ravaged Going Ham also followed these newsletters, finally ending the series.

    Nevertheless, here we are! I have decided to give the Going Ham newsletter a second life for as long as I am motivated to. Depending on the feedback from the community, this may be for just this edition or for many editions to come. In the past, a new edition was made on a weekly basis, but this regimen will be determined as we go. It will depend on how much goes on in the Brawl and CTF communities and how much help I can find for various segments of the newsletter. For example, in the original Going Ham, weekly map reviews were conducted that required a solid amount of time and for which I had a dedicated map reviewer, Lugia_, to write. If I am to resurrect Going Ham to the level at which it was in its prime, I would need a support team, which brings me to my next point.

    If anyone is interested in contributing a segment to the newsletter, please send me a message in which you express your interest and what you want to write. If I feel you and your contributions will have a positive effect on the newsletter, I will give you further information. Please bear with me if I take awhile to organize anything significant, as I am starting this revived version of Going Ham from scratch and am winging it to the best of my ability.

    Because I just wanted to get this concept out to those who are not familiar with Going Ham, this pilot edition will not have any articles. Instead, it will conclude with some end questions, as has every edition in the past! Thanks for reading!

    1. Looks nice. Maybe less walls? More indents?
    2. I would personally like to see reworks/tweaks/new classes being discussed. Possible changes to the game. Basically I want more attention brought to those ideas, especially those that might be good.
    3. Gotta love seeing map submissions and @Lugia_ 's thoughts.
    4. Fluffiness of course. . . I will shock everyone once my epic fluffy hair build's up enough static electricity. I will be my own tazer.

    1. I like it, nothing much to add to that tbh for me.
    2. Maybe something who reviews class reworks, like map reviews, and add their personal opinion to the mix of that rework. This might also help getting that section noticed more, especially the staff.
    3. The continual updates and weekly stuff; it was nice having something to summarize events and things on/about ctf.
    4. Being able to transform into Yoshi.

    I really enjoyed the interviews. It was always cool to get to know a little bit about someone.

    It would be really nice if in Going Ham there was a section dedicated to the tweaks/udates/nerfs/whatever else that come out.

      Map reviews and class updates, also maybe something like player of the article or some **** like that to keep it new because lets be honest there isn't going to be much about updates included.

      I think I remember being these little links to really interesting and cool websites that had little games and stuff.

    2. Tips/Strategies maybe?
    3. I forgot.
    4. Being able to make other people feel as if they're the only one person alive with consciousness and everyone else is a dead robot with programmed feelings.

    1. It looks great! I approve how you color and bold people's names, and how you use lined to separate. Overall, good job on the formatting!
    2. Well, this is my first time seeing Going Ham, but I guess I would like to see map reviews, map submissions, match results, class reviews, and some tips and tricks to get better at CTF.
    3. I didn't read any of the previous editions, so I can not remember what happened.
    4. The ability to grant my own wishes because it is the best superpower.
