This is my Tier list for CTF classes.

    S Tier:
Archer: Has Massive knockback, decent armour, Decent steaks and can instakill. Also has sword to resist assassins.
Heavy: Tough armour, high damage and 3 steaks. if Combo'ed with, can result in massive killstreaks
Chemist: High damage, potions override armour protection. Buffs allow for fantastic combos.

    A Tier:
Soldier: Can escape defenses and avoid melee fights. has good armour and decent steaks. good damage.
Pyro: Massive Damage, Many steaks and a decent weapon. Frenzy sets enemies afire and allows you to easily kill them.

    B Tier:
Ninja: High Damage, Flash bombs, invisibility and enderpearls. has speed II for easy combos.
Engineer: Decent damage, decent steaks and buildings to defend or offend.

    C Tier:
Elf: Low Damage, Massive maneuverability and decent armour. Good steaks.
Dwarf: Insane Damage, Low maneuverability and Tough armour. Low steaks.

    D Tier:
Mage: No steaks, No ammo, weak armour. must stay ranged.
Assassin: InstaKills, but is extremely vulnerable and counterable. no steaks, kill without assassinate for health regen and assassinate powder.

    F Tier:
Necro: Mediocre armour, Low Damage, decent steaks. Spawner essentially does nothing.
Medic: Low Damage, Weak armour. Lots of steaks and webs, but relies on escape and running.

    SSS+ TIER:
FASHIONISTA: One Hit KOs Everything it touches. Protection IV diamond armor and Sharpness X Fireaspect X Knockback X Sword. Has pretty fireworks that will ban you if you touch them. Has Haste 255 and strength 255 and speed 255.

JK. But Fashionista is still best class

a few things, Elf can do crazy damage if used correctly, (pure element) and I have a hard time believing necro has worse armor than elf. it has gold and iron, almost as much as soldier, and more steaks than it too

Based on their overall influence in the average game:
    1. Soldier
    2. Chemist
    3. Archer
    4. Ninja
    5. Medic
    6. Pyro
    7. Assassin
    8. Dwarf
    9. Elf
    10. Mage
    11. Engineer (higher on Ship Battle)
    12. Heavy
    13. Necro
Anything below 6, maybe 7, you could have a decent game of CTF and not really notice the difference. Those classes are lacking or broken and need to be reworked, with the exception of Heavy, which is only really down there because it doesn't fulfill a particular role and isn't used by many top players.

What are you basing your list off of? Affecting the game? Capping? Killing? Defense/recovering? I would have a completely different list for objective gameplay.

    For instance:

Soldier: best capping class imo. The mobility and ease in which it gets in and out of flag rooms, then can avoid virtually all grounded classes makes it the most impacting class in the game.

Pyro: Instakill or not, it's still the best option for a defense. Quickly killing the enemies is essential, and pyro gets the job done. It's also extremely good for recovery, especially with the frenzy ability not requiring arrows. It probably would have been top pick with instakill, though.

Engineer: Hear me out. It might not be as OP as it used to be, but the ability to spam and run around the autofiring turret will allow it to survive as they teleport their whole team to the enemy flag room. This makes it extremely difficult to defend, as often the flow enemy player after enemy player overwhelms the defense.

Chemist: It isn't the most ideal class for anything, but it can play everything, which gives it the next spot. The damage output makes it an ideal choice for recovery on heavier flag carriers, while the health pool can allow for more tanking through flag rooms.

Archer: The reason this isn't higher up on the list is because it is extremely map dependent. A map like Opposites Collide limits what an archer can do. There's also the skill cap. No, it is not difficult to use archer decently, but it does take a much more skilled archer to kill flag carriers who are constantly dodging, weaving, and climbing. The average archer cannot hit a climbing soldier from 20 blocks away.

Ninja: A very good choice for defense and recovery, however it's very low health pool and difficulty to use the class effectively gives it a lower spot on the list. While capping with it can be effective, it is also cheap and stupid :grinning: and countered by someone aggravated enough with it to spam the flag with stuff.

Medic: Medic capping? Can be OP with another medic. The low armor can be overcome with a good ninja/heavy/chemist however. It plays a good solid role in support, though. Generally flag carriers with a medic are difficult to kill.

Assassin: Another fairly effective recovery class. The reason this isn't higher up on the list, is because it is countered a good amount of the time by classes that have projectiles, increased mobility, or just because they've been seen. The right assassin can change the game, given the right situation however.

Heavy: It's pretty low on the list, simply because it has no abilities. It doesn't have much mobility, there's no special ability that helps it succeed amongst other classes, it's just pure pvp ability. A good heavy can defend very well, but only to a certain point.

Elf: It's just. . . meh. This class is more annoying than effective, as it's abilities are mostly spammed by the users in order to keep others from doing something (i.e. soldiers from climbing). A good elf can cap fairly well, though it's low armor and limited mobility inhibit it.

Mage: It doesn't really fill any role well. While I've found it to be somewhat useful on recovery while running across the map, a medic or another enemy could easily stop you in your tracks.

Necro: It's just crap right now.

Left off the list: Dwarf because it's stupid c: It'd probably be either #1 or #2, simply because it's defensive ability can keep just about any offender away from the flag. Especially if they know what they're doing.

Not S tier good though, unless they have godtier internet, which I won't be surprised if one of them does. Even then, all it takes is a competent Pyro, Mage, Chemist, Archer, or Assassin to stop or heavily wear down a Heavy.

There's also the problem that you're only going to get as good as your internet connection with Heavy.

You'd also be surprised how bad a lot of people who play this game are. Even a Soldier that's decent at PvP can wear down an average Heavy to the point of being ineffective or at least take a few st. Back when I actually played, I was able to take on whole defenses, and it was usually that the people playing defense sucked and didn't deal with me properly, not Heavy being good.

Sorry if a sounds a little toxic, but it's kinda what I've been noticing.

EDIT: I can completely understand Heavy being A or B tier. Just not quite S tier because reasons above.

Medic can be super OP if you know how to use webs properly. A single, well-placed web can pin down a flag holder. Also, I like doing MLG jumps off of tall things into medic webs. It makes medic a viable option for capping on maps like Halo.

They still make a defender stop sprinting, break the web, and start sprinting again. And that's only 1 web.
