    1. Google
    2. Search "MC Low Fire resource packs"
    3. Download
    4. Put in resourcepacks folder
    5. Enjoy.

Just saying that no pyro in mcpvp ever complained about this. It's a certain skill you need to acquire in pyro to be able to not set yourself on fire. A pyro shouldn't even light himself on fire, else he is a nub flintspammer. As a person who plays pyro I can tell you enough that if you're complaining about setting yourself on fire, don't use flint and steel, or just type /b.

    As a pyro main, no.
Sure it's realistic, but then you just have idiotic flint spammers everywhere.

Lol, I thought people wouldn't be so stupid as to think Pyro needs a buff. Learn to not go on fire? I don't know what else to tell you, Pyro is an easy and overpowered enough class as it is.

I've known about that. It's not exactly what I'm asking for.

It's funny you say that, because there's an occasional bug where they do.

It would be kinda OP then because you can just flint and steel spam or bow spam without hurting yourself in anyway.

ok, first there is such thing as a low flame taxture pack, so the flames don't block ur vision. Second maybe you sould stop complaining and start practicing ur fns skills.

Late to discussion. Following is mostly addressed towards @Serine1002
How would you even set yourself on fire unless you set the ground on fire, notice enemy either
    A) Retreated
    B) Stepped into fire then retreated
In either case, what beatific childhood fantasy told you that leaping over a blazing flame was safe? Sure you gotta go after the kill but why the hell would you not take .3s out of your life to walk a block over, then jump across the now nonexistent fire? There is absolutely no point in jumping over one's flame like a madman, when you clearly decided where the fire would be set. The pyro who set the flame clearly knows where the fire is, and can take measures(.3s to move out of the damn way) to avoid said flame. There is absolutely no reason for a pyro to set themselves on fire, should they choose to avoid fire. If you are one of those poor fools who cannot simply avoid stepping in the magnificent flame, then I pity you and your lack of intelligence.

Your stats indicate you are one of those despicable midfield/offensive pyros, with your low recovery count relative to kills. That explains you not knowing why the full drawback is in place, because an offensive pyro is more susceptible to incomplete drawbacks because they can't be damned to wait for the whole drawback so they release early or resort to fns spam. In which case, obviously you would jump over your flame so you could get to the poor sod who drew your attention. But oh no, you are on fire! Now you cannot kill said poor sod because you cannot pursue them because you are being damaged by your own flame that you couldn't simply be damned to step out of the way of. A defensive pyro does not have these issues, simply because the zoning potential of the fire is enough. They don't need to chase after an enemy who is zoned away by the flame. Even if they had to chase after an enemy because they had the flag, then its credits to the offensive player who stole the flag. If a player with absolutely no warning of a fire being set at his very feet can avoid it, then there is no reason that the person who set the flame cannot do the same. There is absolutely no point in providing fire resistance to those who can avoid the fire better than anyone else can.

The flame is a zoning tool. Not a tool to reliably set any and everything on fire without repercussions for the unskilled or lazy. The flame in itself is the creation of dangerous terrain, step within and be prepared to accept the consequences. Take medic's webs for an example in this instance. Step within, and you are now delayed several seconds, just like the fire would delay you, albeit the flame damages you over time, and the delay is significantly lower. Medic's webs provide one of the finest zoning tools there is, because stepping within entails a significant delay in your actions, and every second matters.

Flavour-wise, there is no need for a pyro to have fire resistance. An archer does not need a bow to be considered an archer. For my example, the Type Moon series has seven classes. Lancer, Saber, Assassin, Caster, Rider, Berserker, and Archer. Both Gilgamesh and Archer(UBW) do not utilize bows as their primary weapon despite being part of the Archer class. In another instance, this time from League of Legends, Brand(a champion who's head is on fire, who's abs are on fire, this guy is a sentient fire) is not given fire resistance. Brand, a being consumed in flame and wielding fire magicks, can indeed burn to death. Does this make sense? No. Vladimir, also from League of Legends is a blood mage. Yet, he can bleed to death. Does this make sense? No. Warwick, a werewolf, is not slain instantly by silver(although it is a very good counter). Ashe, a Frost Archer shoots arrows bigger than structures. A wall of wind can stop a living mountain. None of this flavor text makes "sense" but it is widely accepted.

    And, about your qualifications to even discuss this topic;
Please consider playing more pyro than engineer before discussing pyro.
Please consider playing more mage than engineer before discussing mage.
Please think again before bringing your biased reasonings to the table.
