So i know there are plenty of map suggestions but i just wanted to mention that i would be interested in building on of the cs go maps. As cs go players may know they are not mirrored and sometimes very big but at least its possible to make the differences kinda same on both sides.

Just want some feedback if the general interest about a cs go map is there

Do you mean it would be assymetrical, not sure if that would work.

I think he's trying to say he would try to make CS:GO map look alikes with some slight tweaks to make them symmetrical

I think these CSGO maps would be ninja and soldier op, because those types of maps tend to have narrow pathways, many tall buildings, and are maze like and hard to navigate. If you do make a CSGO map, you need to find a way to make it more open and spacious.

If you could find a way to make it so Ninja, Soldier, and Archer aren't super overpowered, I'd love to see a CS:GO map. What about taking an Arms Race map like Shoots and modifying it? Shoots is already symmetric, but you'd have to make some changes to the buildings to make it not as Archer or Soldier OP.

Idk i could take shoots but i think the middle part should be maybe bigger? Because if you know the map its not very tall and not so many places to fight on the ground i need to search some maps and maybe i can find another one which is better but thx for the idea

The problem is idk where to start building becuase i really dont know how detailed i should build and how tall the map will be :/

As i never build a map before i would really appreciate some people helping with the map and stuff

I'm not a map builder, but I would suggest by first laying out the buildings with just plain stone (it'd be everything made out of stone at first). That way, you won't have to worry about the aesthic, and focus on the gameplay issues. Maybe start with the spawn and flag rooms, and then filling in the middle? I know this is a CSGO map, but you don't have to copy one block for block. Just instead try to give it a CSGO feel. After you feel the gameplay is right, and that means it's pretty much perfect, then you can focus on the aesthetics. If you feel that you're not the best at detailing, you can ask for help from another builder. Anyway, Xelasi has her own guide, but for some reason, I can't copy and paste links on my mobile device. The thread is called: The Sins of CTF Map Making: Common Map Issues. You can find it if you go to Forums>Capture the Flag>Guides. In that section the map guide should be there. You can search the title by entering it in the thread search bar if you still can't find it. Anyway, remember that gameplay comes first. Then aesthetics. Good luck on your build!

The whole map would need to be stretched out a bit, seeing as it's very compact. You could make the map as detailed and as tall as you want. If you are going to copy a CS:GO map, you should first build/lay out the map. Then you could make all the adjustments you wanted.

As not many of you know if started now to build and i must say im pretty proud of what i built yet. Btw a big shoutout to LeDoener who is helping me with the map. Anyone who wants to bring up their ideas just join me or LeDoener on the first mcbuild server and tell us what could or needed to be changed.
Now i really noticed how much passion you can bring into building sth which is growing bigger and bigger
