Idea Bow spamming.

    So this is one of those things I cannot stand at all, It's when people bow spam. Literally every archer bow spams, There's a good hand full of archer that don't bow spam (Props to them), but for every archer that doesn't bow spam, there is 10 who do. Not to mention at most time archers barley even use their swords.
    So I'm pretty sure everyone won't agree with this, this is both a nerf and a buff.

    Instead of giving the archer two stacks of arrows, only give it 60. It's a fair amount in my opinion. But also give the archer's sword Sharpness 1, and the bow power 1. This way they have to make every arrow count, and as much as I really... really... and I mean really hate to say this... keep instant kill. The power 1 bow will help the archer bow enemies down, without having to bow spam (I hope.), and of course there are some flaws with this idea that I can think of. If there are any flaws with this idea that you find, please say.

    What if the bow did no knockback unless the archer pulled the bow all the way back?

    Well, archer is a class completely based on its bow. It has pretty weak armour and a weak sword for that reason. Its purpose is long range, not short range. I'm not sure what you consider bow spamming, but if you are referring to using the bow repetitively, that's the entire point of archer. It isn't meant to be a melee class at all. You beat an archer by getting close to it, because while it is dangerous at long range, it's an easy target at short range. Taking away the arrows by a considerable amount and increasing the power of the sword kind of counteracts that and defeats the point of archer.

    Medic isn't centred around melee either. It's a support class, not a combat class.

    Basically this is what i think bow spamming is, "continuously using the bow without even pulling the arrow back all the way, just a continuous process of shooting arrows that aren't even pulled back fully." I see what you're saying, the bow spamming I'm talking about, doesn't even kill you, it's just really annoying. It does some damage, but not enough to kill you (unless you get bow spammed off a hill.). I did say there were some flaws with this idea.

    True, of course said archer could always run away. It just gets rather sad when archers do the whole spam thing to other archers

    Actually, spamming can prove quite fatal. I myself have actually killed a heavy off of just spam, not by knocking them off a ledge (I recorded it if you want to see it, it's pretty hilarious). So, bowspam is both annoying and lethal. Yay.

    Fantastic, It's lethal as well, sometimes I guess.

    And yeah I found that extremely stupid, that archers bow spam other archers, Same exact armor and weapon, as well as same amount of steaks.

    Agreed, bowspammers are annoying and there's a good number that don't.

    Most new archers can't even kill more than 4 people with the full 128 arrows. Other classes don't have a limit on their main weapon given it's unbreakable so I think this is rather unnecessary given bowspam can be combatted in different ways.
    When you add to archers sword, you're taking away the point of being an archer, to use the bow to some extent. I get we want to discourage bowspam, but equally we want to keep it archer themed. Maybe a 1 use short term speed boost if you hit more than 2 arrows in a row, so they can potentially escape (removing knockback) would be more sensible. Power 1 you're encouraging bowspam because each arrow does more damage.
    Instakill is being removed from all classes, staff have confirmed. Also no because the power 1 increases damage on each arrow archers have more of a reason to bowspam as it'll do more damage.

    Yeah, this is pretty much an abandoned idea, and I did say there were some flaws with this idea to begin with. But you do have some good suggestions.

    One idea is that knockback will only work with a fully charged bow to so that when people arrow spam you won't get knocked back.

    Yeah a lot of people have suggested that, I'm surprised that it hasn't been added, since it seems like a good idea and that it wouldn't really make archer under powered, it would be pretty much the same thing as the pyro's explosive arrow.

    What if the archer kit got 10 arrows, and every time the archer got another kill they received another 10 arrows?

    Yeah I thought the same thing, but like Ch4os said people like Brandino, MissCreepyPasta or Ch40s, would have infinte arrows.
