    CTF MAP SURVEY RESULTS
    The community has spoken!
    124 surveys submitted and the results are in.
    ​
    The survey was limited to one response per IP. Most of the answers appeared to be legitimate and the amount of responses should offset most of the dupes and trolling.

    Wow. Ship Battle actually has an even worse favorability rating (-38.33%) than Donald Trump (-26.0%) and Hillary Clinton (-10.2%) combined (-36.2%).

    Why is this map still in the rotation?

    I figured blackout would be the most favorable. What I don't understand is why orchid falls is still in rotation if it's so far down on the list. (same with ship battle)

    Some newer wave maps (Wave XI) were reworked recently, but the initial gameplay left a poor impression. They haven't been in rotation long so they haven't been removed yet.
    A lot of new maps also have very high "neutral" vote counts, so that's a factor.

    Last time we did a survey Slate (Wave X) rated pretty unfavorably. This time around it's in the middle of the pack, so it's possible for new maps to grow on people and become more favorable.

    Also, these ratings aren't the deciding factor as to what stays in rotation, but I'm hoping they get taken into consideration. The main thing looked at is the in-game voting, which could be completely different for some maps and reflect what new/casual players like.

    To whatever mod told me that people liked Beaver Creek and Walrus Creek, there you go. They're both near the bottom of the list.

    @_Featherpaw_ There are people who like both of those maps. (I, myself, like Ship Battle) Like Xel said, this isn't what determines map waves. This will be used when it comes time to remove old maps, though.

    Xel, nice job with this survey. I'm glad that some other people wanted Tibetan Seclusion added back, seeing as that's the best map of all times.

    It's because most regulars find ship battle a rather notorious map, however the results here are quite the contrary with the votes in game. IIRC @Quarrelt mentioned it is the 4th most popular map on CTF with regards to the in game map votes. There are a bunch of more players in game than in the forums, and those that do use the forums have been playing the game for a couple of years now.

    Come on man, Airlock isn't that bad :L

    Will these results be used to determine which maps will be removed/reworked in the next wave? Since at the moment the decisions are based purely off /y and /n votes, it'd be nice to have this survey be taken into consideration in the future.
