    CTF Map Submission

    This map is apparently very bad and also just a test so it is getting taken down soon. Whenever I don't feel lazy about doing so your horrid thoughts will be abolished.

    We felt like it's finished but if anyone wants us to cover up all the stuff that can be seen through the iron bars then we shall do so. Otherwise everyone can enjoy the ugly detail of the outside of the map. Also we may need to add an additional entrance to the flag room so if need be we shall put it there.

    Tbh I think this isn't a as good version of the 2fort in War. Improve it a bit, and +1

    Oh and add a poll so people can vote on whether its good or not.

    Could Improve alot... its very um, dull needs more colour more hiding spots for archers too, soldier could be pretty op on this map too ;-;

    hiding spots from archer or for archers, there is a big difference tbh

    I put barrier blocks on all areas that provide access to the outside of the map if that's any help.

    Thanks for the feedback, but I need some help from you as this is the first map I've ever uploaded. How do you think I should improve this and how do you add a poll?

    I'd try to give some feedback but the map is privated. So I can try to suggest things based on the screenshots.


    Way too small, linear, and crowded. Like what the others said, it's pretty much slums going airborne.

    Open it up a bit, add weakness and strong points for classes. Make the gameplay diverse. Add multiple ways to cross the map. Making certain classes stronger than others is ok, just try to make it not completely OP for that specific class.

    It's ugly. I know aesthetics are not as important as gameplay, but atleast try to make the map half decent to look at. Detailing, adding block variations, and adding depth to blank walls is a great way to improve the looks.

    Flag room is very cramped. This will make offensive players have a stroke. Open it up more, add height and multiple exits/entrances.

    Mid is a player funnel. From what I can see it is just one bridge seperating the two sides across the river. Archers/Mages/Elves/Engineers, pretty much any class with a ranged or AOE attack will be pretty OP here. Add multiple paths, open it up and reduce the water amount and/or add lilypads/rocks/some sort of platform(s)

    Map is overall very exposed. Redstone blocks lighting lamps are clearly visible, I see a lot of abusive spots with the accessible areas, ect. Try to hide any redstone in the map and try your best to fix any gamebreaking exploits in the map.

    Overall, this map isn't good. I'm not saying this to bring you down, but nobody will ever improve if your work is not criticized. There are many aspects of this map that can be improved and I'm sure you can pull threw if you attempt to make another map. Practice makes perfect.

    Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking about adding more bridges for your information and I'm not good with colors, so once I get the map unprivated, if it's okay with you, I'd like to have you come in and suggest things or even edit them yourself. Also, I may sound a little noobish when I say this, but what does slums going airborne mean? And for the map being exposed, I will make sure to cover up the spots that you can see all the redstone stuff but I covered up all the areas where people can possibly exit the map with barrier blocks to prevent them from escaping. Yeah so I'll edit this best I can and once again thanks for the feedback.

    CTF doesn't have such small and simple maps... it would definitely be crazy (fun) to play on! ;D
    But I've never really liked Team Fortress 2 xP

    That's okay that you never liked TF2. I have the faintest idea that MCCTF was based of TF2 CTF and so my friend and I got the great idea to make this map. It needs quite a bit of fixer uppers, so it won't be exactly like the TF2 version, but if it ever gets in to the map pool and you play on it please get a capture for me!

    I think that 2fort itself in TF2 is a bad map. I think this video explains it.

    Do you wish me to take it down? It was really just a test, since I've never made a map before. I may actually take it down because I just wanted to get used to this whole map submission business, so if you don't want to reply it's fine.

    I'm not sure if I will do that since I'm probably going to take this map down. It was just a test, really, as I have told Shawn_.

    I think it's fine if you keep it up. Even if there is a map submission that is really bad, it doesn't mean you have to take it down.
