Prices seem to be that high using credits because originally the premium classes were only available if you pay real money, if the class price was so low for credits, brawl might not make enough profit.

If you play often and do objective-based gameplay or you're a huge player killer you might be able to achieve it in about 2-3 months.

I'm pretty Brawl can no longer make money off of those classes. Anything remotely p2w has been removed.

In some cases, i do not believe these premium CTF classes are "Pay to win". They each have their strengths and weaknesses, imo the definition of p2w is something like a perk or a boost which doesn't apply in CTF. What you're paying for is more variety brought in your gameplay.

Nothing is P2W anymore. People can pay to get credit boosters though, that's the only way Brawl can make money now

Your opinion is wrong then, the reason the buying of classes got removed is because it was p2w and Mojang made it so that's not allowed.

The reason the classes seem to be so expensive is to limit the amount of premium classes within the game. If the classes were too easy to get, we would be overrun by engineers and dwarfs, making the games generally discouraging to play.

I do agree that the prices are a bit high, however.

    What.

Not on CTF (imo). Mojang enforced the EULA (a.k.a. DEATH TO SERVERS) because they're owned by the greedy bastards at Microsoft and they want to force as many people as possible on freaking Minecraft Realms (which no one is ever going to play) in order to continue dominating the market by eliminating a prime source of revenue for most major Minecraft servers. I have no idea if that was the actual rationale for enforcing the stupid thing in the first place but I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

That said the real question is: why does Necro cost 30,000 credits?

Okay let me repeat, buying anything in a game on minecraft, which is not cosmetical or for everyone, is called p2w. And the EULA was added because small kids using their parents money to buy stuff was not alrighty in their opinion.

    No, it's not.

There were probably were lots of factors with that decision. And what I said about it was, as I stated, a theory based on the fact that I really don't like Microsoft :stuck_out_tongue:

Isn't p2w buying something that gives one person an advantage over another? Since archer is 95% more op than like every other class, I guess it would be PayToLose in terms of ctf.

The prices are too high in my opinion. They should be enough for the average player to get one a month, but I don't really know anyone who's able to do that. Not having a bunch of premium classes, like engineer and dwarf, is nice though. Once these classes have been reworked and are less annoying in large quantities, it'd be nice to see the price of classes drop.

Another idea - what if premium classes which aren't absolutely hated by everyone (elf or chemist, for example) were cheaper, whereas annoying/OP classes (engineer, dwarf) were more expensive?

You shouldn't make classes more expensive based on opinion. Yes, I absolutely despise engineers but if someone wants to spend their 30k creds on it, so be it. I definitely wont be happy with it but they decide what class to spend their credits on, not me, you, or anyone else.

OP classes are another subject entirely to annoying classes. (I consider chemist the king of annoying classes, but that's my opinion). Any class can be OP if used to a point where it becomes OP, but classes like dwarf, assassin, engineer, ect. are generally considered OP due to how gamebreaking they can be. (Albiet, dwarf's OPness has been reduced with the level cap). Dwarf's incredible damage output and being nearly unkillable if he has a medic and knows how to block, Assassins ping-reliant method of killing is just bs most of the time, and Engineer just sitting on it's ass teleporting an entire team across the map in seconds with a infinite health source and automatic turret, (I could rant all day about this class). All these have one thing in common, they don't require much effort to change the game in the dramatic way they do. I like to consider this the main reason why these classes are considered OP but not classes like ninja, soldier, chemist, ect. Those classes require a lot of practice in order to get good at and impact the game in a noticeable way, while classes like dwarf, engi, ect don't require near as much effort to change the output of a match in such a dramatic way.

Also, making some classes more expensive than others would show newcomers that they are better and more powerful than the other classes, making them want them more. Making OP/Annoying classes more expensive than others would probably be worse in the long run than just leaving them as is.

I'm thinking it's REALLY high so you can play more, imagine if the kits were 1k then I guess everyone will have the 'premium' kits and tbh, if that happens you might aswell make the 'premium' kits free to everyone. I agree 30k is really high, I would say 10k for every class (not just your first one) because I got Ninja by buying w/ irl money where credits weren't made, and that counted as the kit costing 10k credits so now I need to get 30k credits to buy what kit I want next :/
