Spookygeek- 2-4 TC black, 3-1 anni air, 3-1 Anni. Tc, although much more active, has newer players that are still getting used to the game, while anni still has good players they aren't as strong as they were.​

Notice​

Please do not ask MSW members for permission to spectate matches. We cannot speak for other reps and their wishes, so please ask both reps BEFORE matches. Referee consent will also be in play at all times if they wish. MSW can issue guest passes to those that wish to help out with things like commentating and related, but these passes are highly limited and will only be handed out to those that will add on to the quality of content covered by MSW. Passes are affected by the blacklist, referee preference, and refs/teams consent.

Team leaders/reps, you can always limit the amount of spectators that are in your matches if you wish. If you are bothered by the amount of spectators coming into your matches, then please feel free to pm your match referee and any concerns to gamren or MSW leaders/representatives. All we ask is that you may be thoughtful and fair if you do request to limit spectator numbers accordingly. Your match referee can also control the amount of spectators allowed.

Match Of The Week #4 - Delta Force vs The Black Knights 2.0 (3-0, 2-0 DF win),

What was the mood of your team before the match? Were you guys nervous to play Delta Force?

To be fair we were pretty confident about ourselves because of our victory against Defiance last night, but none of our cappers showed up on time so we were kinda jammed on offense. Nonetheless I had great expectations of this match.

Oh well, you still did great. There was one point when you kept getting all of the recovs! Was it hard to defend?

It sure was a tough game, especially Airlock since we still had to deal with some role issues, making it Obvious that our defense had a tough time against the Delta Force offense.

We all know Delta Force is a hard to beat. Were you proud of your team after the match?

We played the best we could and even though I had expected a more even match I am pretty proud of them. I'm keeping up the positive spirit and hope that next time we'll be facing them we'll have a capper ready.

Well that's good. Do you think that you will have a rematch in the near future?

I think that we're going to have some matches versus other teams first so we can get our strategies on point and our members more active. But I don't get to decide this since my good pal Raging is our reping master.

Article #4 -Defy vs BK 2.0 (3-0, 3-0 BK 2.0) by gamren

Recently, as Defiance has been obtaining quite a few new members, many people were interested to see how this match would turn up. With a bit of history in mind, Defiance had always been insanely strong when put up against the old BK back before they reformed, so many people were curious to see if this trend would continue.


Hopping right into game 1, platforms, BK showed off a dominant performance going 3-0 against Defy in a matter of nine minutes. Although Defiance held out for quite some time between captures, they were no match for the powerhouse called The Black Knights.


Map two was BK’s usual pick of airlock. BK had yet another strong showing on their comfort pick, yet again 3-0ing Defiance. Although a 3-0 for BK on map 2, Defiance definitely showed up stronger than they looked in map one, stealing multiple times and setting the map into multiple stalemates.


With a 6-0 total score in BK’s favor, BK is definitely looking like a team to be in the top 4, contending with SN. With rumors of a tournament in the near future, BK is definitely a team to watch for. Although with their recent success, Defiance still has quite a strong roster, and have proven to come out strong in tournaments, even gaining the third place spot in the last tournament.

Article #5 -Special: Tournament Lookout by gamren

With rumors of an upcoming tournament, it came upon my mind to make an article involving the tournament itself, and the actual teams that would be competing in such. I would assume that the tournament would go in the format of @Snowleak14 ‘s format.

With that in mind, we currently have 13 teams. Not to seem harsh, but TTT is looking rather inactive. It would seem fair to temporarily allow them to merge their roster with the likes of another semi-inactive team.

If indeed TTT was allowed to temporarily merge with another team, this would leave us at 12 total. Snow’s proposal requires 16. In my opinion, it would be quite easy to obtain 4 tournament teams, as long as brawl offers a very nice reward. With the offer of a nice reward, many brawlers would flock to make tournament teams, and the top 4 tourney teams should be taken into the group stage.

Now, to get into the main subject;

Power rankings.

Snow’s concept involves having the top 4 teams equally distributed among 4 different groups, and then having the next 4 strongest teams distributed evenly among the groups, and then having the final mid tiers spread as well. This would result in one super team in each group, followed by a top, and then two mid/advanced tier teams (please correct me if I am wrong). For this setup, you would need to rank the top 8 teams (including the top 4). Here are my own, PERSONAL rankings. I am sorry if you do not agree with my rankings, but these are my own personal ideas based off of past match results, rosters, and recent performances.

Hopping right in, here are my top 8.

1. TT. The Templars have recently been unofficially crowned the top team, having gained win after win in regular matches, and holding a top notch roster. I believe they haven’t dropped a single game in the last year, and possibly even a single capture in official matches. They simply look unstoppable. With defensive members like Creux and Dekrah, their defense looks impenetrable.
   
   
2. RR. Radiance Reborn started off quite strong, bragging a strong roster with veteran players. Over time they have only gotten stronger, gaining the likes of @Stealed/@YouAreBestBae, aka James. Along with him, they have many other strong players, and are definitely a team to watch out for.
   
   
3. DF. Delta Force is definitely a force to be reckoned with. Showing dominant results in past matches and tournaments, this old team is filled with both new and old players. Although showing bad results in the past, they have recently been improving heavily in matches, taking down the likes of BK and Genetic with commanding results. (I am trying to refrain from bias. If you disagree with me, please state your rankings in the comments).
   
   
4. BK. Although many would say Supernova would be the contender for this spot, I personally think The Black Knights could claim this spot as their own. With many old BK members, and many new/returning figures, they have shown dominating results in recent matches. With members like Epic, Raging, nin, and more, they have shown superior PvP and coordination skills when put up against most teams. We all await the return of the legendary @Cleef.
   
   
5. SN. Recently formed, Supernova has been rampaging many teams. Although dropping a match to RR, it was hard fought until the end, and they looked insanely strong throughout it all. Picking up wins against Genetic, and even DF in an unof, SN is definitely a team to watch out for.
   
   
6. ADV. The Adventurers have always looked strong throughout their matches, and perform exceptionally well during the heat of tournaments. Taking down a solid team like Unity is definitely one of their major feats, and have been able to hold out well against teams like BK. Recently gaining many new, strong members, ADV is looking insanely strong at this time. Backed by mynemachine, hallopiu, wulfi, and many other strong members, I wish good luck to the teams having matches against this powerhouse.
   
   
7. Unity. Unity has been seeing amazing results in matches recently. With many strong players like @LordCh4os, their play style boasts an insanely strong defense, backed by a hard working and heavily coordinated offense. Unity is definitely a team that won’t give up easily, and should definitely be kept eyes on.
   
   
8. And finally to conclude my 8th team would be Genetic. Although showing a decrease in activity and match results, genetic still has a very strong roster, with solid individual members, and positive teamwork. If given the proper motivation, I honestly believe that Genetic could go further and prove to be even stronger. Even though they aren’t looking in their best right now, they should definitely be watched out for during this tournament.
   

Keep in mind- Although not in my personal top 8’s, I think all of us should watch out for The Crusaders. In the past they have been able to take out Genetic with the help of the map blackout, and their offense looks super strong. If they can get their defense in place, they can easily upset other teams when backed by their hyper-active offense.

And with all of that said, I repeat that these are my own personal rankings. To make these rankings I used my own opinions, match results, roster, and gathered opinions of many others. Currently CTF teams are in a state that all teams can compete very closely, and a total blowout in matches is a rare sight. Although 6-0s can commonly occur, I think we can all agree on the fact that teams have been able to compete at a more even level, and draw out matches heavily. There is tons of room for upsets during the future. Please feel free to put your edits, ideas, and opinions in the comments.
