    CTF Map Submission

    Map Name: Rift
    Style: Does League of Legends count?

    Notes: So for a while now, I've been meaning to get around to creating a map of one of my favorite video games of all time; League of Legends. It's been taking me quite a long time to get the layout done, but after many, maaaany failed attempts I believe I can begin with phase two, which is the terraforming. I'll be editing the map to suite ctf's gameplay of course, but I hope you all like at least the general look of it for now. I'll continue to work on it and let you know how it goes! Thanks guys!     Alright so I like this idea very much and I think it could be really cool but I need to give you some constructive criticism on this map. First river is really messed up because you made the jungle walls above and below gromp way too wide and the invade river. I would cut back these walls before you work on terraforming. Here is a map were the gromps are marked and you can see what I mean about the river http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net...ocation.png/revision/latest?cb=20141114010457 I would love to work with you on this a little I thing I could supply some very important details to the map like this one that would really help its overall design. Also are there actually going to be lane or are you going to make the walls walk over able? In my opinion you should make it so that you can walk over the walls (even though you can only do this with certain champions in LoL because certain class's in capture the flag have scaling capabilities and that would make those classes broken on this map. Also if you don't add in being able to get over walls I might just make holes in certain features to make them easier to get through like baron and dragon pit.

    I agree with the walls and had already beun reworking them when I posted this. for your second suggestion, im actually going to be making a system of tunnels underground in order to even out headshottable and spam classes. I probably will not be making the walls passable, but am open for other suggestions. as for you helping, I wouldn't mind, but I dont know you very well and I get nervous while speaking in front of new people. im not turning you down, but I wanted to let you know that im on the fence about it right now.

    in it's current state archers are gonna have a fun time. Not sure for anyone else though
    can't really see a whole lot, but make sure the spawns and the flag have some kind of archer cover. Definitely give more archer cover elsewhere on the map too

    Are you planning on putting in the towers or no? It might be a little op for archers but it could be awesome and totally swing the way the game is played and won. @_featherpaw_

    Im going to have towers like the ones I have right now, but not all will be accessible. I actually would love to have you help now! :3 it'd be a great chance for me to get to know more about the community and you seem really interested. would you like to?

    Be aware if you have towers definitely have more archer cover!

    My thoughts exactly. There will be tunnels to allow for cover, as well as the middle territory being heavily forested. I've also created a flag room that I hope is resistant to ghost capping.

    have you considered getting a main from each class to take a look at the map? Might help work out issues you can't even see (given they're more experienced and know class boundaries and the like)

    I was going to once it was nearly finished. I have none of the terraforming done so right now its literally just a shell

    Staff is starting to look at maps, I see this is WIP

    Archer and projectiles are the biggest concern rn. It looks like you started to add some sort of cover but haven't finished. The archer problem will need to be addressed somehow, there aren't many areas taller than 1 block in some spots.

    Yea. The bedrock will eventually be rock and tree cover, with arching points being down the center lanes and the 2 side lanes. It'll be faster to go down center lane, but more dangerous as opposed to going through the jungle and being considerable safer. there will also be tunnels under dragon and baron pit, as well as red and blue buff.

    I've begun working on this once more and have started the terraforming. I also thought the flagroom was too easily accessible by the ally team players once out of spawn, so I created a secondary spawn box that shoots you into the map. I also closed off the back of the flagroom so you have to walk around to get in. Flagroom is anti archer and anti ninja pearling. If you'd like to see it just hop on. the map is public and I'm always looking for ways to improve it.
