I had an idea for CTF that I think should be added to the game. This idea would be that we have credit's for an assist. For instance, If a player had the flag, and he/she was killed in someway and the flag hasn't been recovered, someone else from that players team picks it up and captures it. They would get 5-10 credit's for an assist. I thought this was a good idea considering this happens a lot to ninjas. I was also thinking the same for kills. I know the game isn't about killing but if you were to bring someone close to death but they run off, and another person kills them, the person that killed the player and the person that brought the player close to death should each get half the credit's you get for a regular kill. Tell me what you think :stuck_out_tongue:

For the first idea, this is already a thing. You get credits for killing the flag carrier, and then more credits for recovering.

You actually get 10 credits for recovering but 20 credits for killing the flag carrier. Which I find should be the other way around.

I disagree, I believe it requires more skill to kill a player than walk over a block.

Yea but actually recovering is more important. You can kill the flag carrier and one of their teammates can just snag the flag from them. If you manage to recover it they're out of luck.

But archers headshot the carrier and don't get full credit since they only killed the flag carrier

The reason we don't give credits for kill assists is because it would promote killfarming as opposed to playing objectively, as well as increase the chances of players dealing damage to others but not actually fighting (basically, it would allow for them to gain credits without having earned them); not to mention how confusing it would be to code how many credits are given depending on how much damage is delt.
