Idea Buffs for Pyro

    Pyro needs a buff and I'll say a few buffs so that I can seem productive! Note: These are NOT TO BE IMPLEMENTED AT THE SAME TIME. That is not what I am saying, I am trying to throw out ideas to buff pyro.

    • Increase the time enemies are on fire, but reduce the damage it does to them
    • Increase base true damage w/o frenzy
    • Give pyro permanent fire resistance
    • Increase time of frenzy
    • Increase pyro's armor
    • Reduce cooldown on F&S
    • Give pyro haste I (I think this makes people attack faster.. I'm not sure entirely)
    • Give pyro speed I
    • Give pyro resistance I
    • Make F&S not useless
    • Reduce bow cooldown
    If you disagree with something, just ignore it, I want to focus on the things that everyone agrees with. I particularly agree with "increase the time enemies are on fire, but reduce the damage it does to them", "increase pyro's armor," and "give pyro haste I."

    Why do I want a pyro buff? Because pyro is countered too easily. The class is no longer a defensive powerhouse that it was intended to be after the rework. I feel like all around pyro deserves a buff because of this. It is a class that is supposed to be powerful, but still balanced. I think people want pyro to have fair 1v1's with other classes, when it really shoudn't. It should dominate armored classes but it doesn't.

    I agree with:
    True dmg without frenzy (while on fire, from what I understood)
    frenzy time increasing
    reducing cooldown on f&s
    permanent fire res

    Really don't think it's a good idea to give pyro speed and haste cuz it would make it even more op (able to catch up with any non-buffed class, as fast as ninja while sprint-jumping,...)

    I agree with the give Pyro unlimited Fire resistance, give Pyro haste, and give Pyro the abilities to increase the time someone is on fire and reduce the damage it does to them. These are all really good idea's, but these 3 are my favorite.

    I agree with permanent fire resistance but mostly I just want more armor. I brought this up with the other ctf staff but so far it's gone so far as 50/50. Some agree, some don't.

    I believe Haste only increases mining speed and not attacking speed.
    I think Fire Res and an armor buff would be nice for pyro

    Same, those ones are really really good but not gamebreaking or making the class any harder or annoying to deal with (which i think a flint cd buff would make it).

    It should dominate armored classes but it doesn't.
    Exactly the problem as I see it. I'm okay with getting destroyed by assassins, ninjas, mages, not getting 2 shot by buffed heavies which I am supposed to counter.

    I was thinking of when you activate the frenzy, instead of doubling your damage, it would enchant your armor with protection IV or V for a few seconds. (Nearby enemies would still catch on fire tho).

    Armor and Speed I seems like a good idea. If any of these get implemented I'll pyro main again :grinning:
