Idea New Class Ideas

    I am a big league nerd and there are many times where I'd prefer playing league over CTF. I get more enjoyment with more toxic players and better gameplay. Let's be honest here, sometimes ctf can be fun. Whether it be there's no decent archers in the game or you manage to not get headshotted by @BrandinoB for once in your entire life. Yes, it's a miracle when that happens. Let's also be honest here and say ctf can also be annoying as ****. Many people will blame other classes and say let's just keep nerfing and only focus on that. Why not focus on both updating the game while also adding new features to give your customers a better experience? I've heard many times from a few mods in the past that retired that most if not all class ideas are bad and is either op or up. Here's what I say to that. There's always going to be someone who thinks there's a class that is OP or UP. Don't shut it down because it may be bad for the classes you main or play. For example if you have a say in adding new classes, but it completely counters the classes you play, don't shut it down. Be open to new ideas, that is your job. Like I said though, I mostly got that from a lot of retired mods back in McPvP and some in brawl. I have faith in the new mods. :smile: That being said - here are my class ideas and as you may see in some of the ideas I'll refer to some league champions, if you are confused in anyway ask and I can help you figure it out.

    Very similar to Sona in LoL, this class will have 3 items that all represent specific abilities that are very similar if not identical to Sona's abilities with an iron sword to represent her q. This class should be fairly weak considering it's intent is for support. could also be a good way for classes like mage which has infinite healing. Runner + Heavy would be a combo to beating a mage, the Heavy could crit the mage and the Runner could stay behind and heal the heavy when needed.

    Armor:
    Full light blue dyed leather armor

    Items/Abilities:
    Iron Sword - No special abilities
    Lime Dye - Heals all teammates (including yourself) for 4 hearts once you are within 3 blocks of the runner it lasts for 5 seconds with a cooldown of 15 seconds
    Magenta Dye - Speeds up all teammates (including yourself) with speed I for 3 seconds, you have 5 seconds to get within the radius of the speed up with a cooldown of 15 seconds
    Orange Dye - Sets fire to all enemy teammates behind the of runner (Opposed to in front of the runner with sona, because it shows the speed of the runner) 3x5 with a height of also 3. There should be 4 total ticks of fire which would equal about 2 hearts of damage after the tick wore off. The wall of fire would last 3 seconds with a 30 second cooldown.
    All abilities - Once right clicked, the dye will turn into grey dye, representing it's on cooldown.

    Very similar to Thresh in LoL, this class will have 2 items that all represent specific abilities that are very similar if not identical to thresh's abilities. This class should be tanky, but not put out a large amount of damage considering it's intent is for support as well. Could be used to save flag carriers from sticky situations and for recovering with the lead (very similar to thresh's hook).

    Armor:
    Lime dyed leather
    Diamond chestplate
    No leggings
    Diamond boots

    Items/Abilities:
    Diamond pickaxe - No special abilities
    Fishing rod - Once you right click fishing rod and throw the fishing bob, wherever it lands it'll place a sign. You can click the sign within 2 block radius as shown above in picture. Once clicked, you can tp to the person that threw the rod.
    Lead - Slowly but quickly there will be a snowball shot out. The first person to hit by the snowball will be thrown towards the cowboy. While being thrown towards the cowboy, the person hook cannot block. (would work well with assassin)

    (will work on more classes later, kinda late so ye)

    So first idea is basically chemist but more based on support and the second one is engie without the turret, ok.

    Okay, neat... the only similarities between chemist and Runner are the iron sword, it heals people (but uses a completely different method), and it can speed people up (also uses a different method), and literally the ONLY thing you can say about the Cowboy is that it can teleport people without a lot of range and a pick axe lol? I have no idea how it's "basically" chemist/engie? I think you might be a bit picky here lol...

    Because Brawl has just one dev for CTF, and he's not just coding for CTF. I'd rather see annoying parts of the game get fixed (such as headshots) instead of seeing new features, that could potentially make the imbalance even worse, being added.

    I'd be all for new classes once the current ones we already have are fine. But that's a while off.

    Runner is too weak

    It's got leather armor, which is weaker than a chemist or medic, and its healing capability is also trash compared to those two classes. Plus, you can only use it every 15 seconds for 4 hearts!, which is really scary when fighting against a ninja.

    The speed ability is terrible, and lasts for only 3 seconds, which is worse than chemist's AWESOME strength and speed buff for 3 minutes. Come on runner!

    And the fire wall is also bad, because you can just walk around it, deal with it for a mere 2-4 hearts, or maybe you could just use chemist and spam damage/poison pots for kills!

    Overall, runner gives less support, has less speed, dishes out less damage, has worse armor, and can't heal itself for sh*t.

    I recommend improving on all of those areas like giving it steak or giving it better speed (that's part of its name and speed I is just soooo terrible). I also see no use for this class as we already have chemist and medic anyway.

    Cowboy:

    Anyways, I'm confused when you say that it can help ally flag carriers get out of sticky situations. Do you mean you can hook teammates or hook the enemies attacking? If it's the first one, I can see a lot of trolling.

    For the fishing rod ability, you could bring your entire team across the map in seconds, so I recommend putting a cool down on that baby (maybe 3 seconds?)

    For the lead ability, what'd happen if the cowboy went behind a wall while the snowball was in the air and it hit? Would the victim go through the wall or just dangle against the wall until he/she died? Pretty buggy if you think about it. Maybe the cowboy shouldn't be able to move while using the lead idk. Sounds like a mage freeze spell though, which is pretty interseting.

    Runner would be a very good support class in defense, though very OP in regards of support for offense. Running alongside the flag carrier can make it very hard to recover off of. Speed I makes it so that the carrier can pretty much outrun a lot of unbuffed classes, assassin and ninja (potentially archer and mage, but that's not very often) the only threat. Then when the recoverer comes, you literally just have to use the orange dye, then ninja would probably die from pearl damage or fire damage, plus, it makes them slower. Assassin - flag carrier can just block and runner would kill the assassin. The lime dye would make it so that the flag carrier can use as little steak as possible, maybe even none. Sure the runner is easy to kill, but the runner can just run back to the flag carrier and continue. I mean, it's a great idea, but it can use a little tweaking.

    For Cowboy, what's the point of having the fishing rod?

    Runner is actually pretty bad in support. You can only heal 4 hearts every 15 seconds which is 1 steak, whereas medic can heal all steak and hearts every 15 seconds. And don't forget chemist;It has 5 regen III pots that heal for 15 seconds (12 hearts regened each) and the Instant Health Pots that you can spam! (is it level 2 or 3 cuz if 3, it's 8 hearts healed each).

    And that speed I buff for 3 seconds is trash compared to chemist's 3 minute speed and strength buff.

    And for the fire spell, you might as well hit the actual players because the fire damage is very little (3-4 hearts and less if you get out. If you went as chemist, you could throw damage pots, poison pots, and hit them with a strength I iron sword (which 2-3 shotsmost ninjas).

    So actually, runner is REALLY weak. 5ive should buff it.

    And the fishing rod is for placing down a teleporter/sign which other teammates can use to teleport to you instantly with no cooldown

    I know what it does, but I don't get what its purpose is.

    I would like to just say first I do not play ctf, however this ability he is talking about is based off a character (thresh) who is in league of legends which I do play. I will do my best to explain the role of this ability in league of legends and how I think he wants it to work for ctf. In LoL threshes lantern (that is what the ability is called in LoL) is mostly used to drag someone out of a dangerous situation. Let's say you teammate is really low on health, thresh could throw down his lantern and pull the person out of the fight as long as they were in the radius of the lantern (which is actually kind of large) keep in mind though if thresh steps too far away from the lantern without using it the spells breaks this is so he can't drag the player a ridiculous amount of distance away from the fight. Thresh can also run into a fight and throw his lantern out to bring someone into the fight faster if they are far away, this tactic is almost never used because it's better to save it to save someone in your team. I dint think this would work well with ctf because you can't see you health of other players and can't tell whether to save them or not. This class would be purely used for competitions imo. Also it would be a pain in the ass to code just this spell or item or whatever you want to call it. The whole "leash" thing is just as complicated. This class would be so hard to code in mine craft.
