    One or the first post about Map Wave XII was in October.. (https://www.brawl.com/threads/61796/)
    It still hasn't been put in rotation.

    The only reason apparently to why it hasn't is that there's no trailer yet..
    Who would rather have the map wave before the trailer?
    I would rather have it before.

    What about you guys?

    From what I've heard, the trailer's been in the works for at least 2 months by now. If a map wave is being held back by a 2 minute video showing us all the maps we're about to play, there's an issue. Either release it with no trailer, or get the media team to work on it.

    Why do they do them in "waves" anyway. I don't play ctf but I think it would make way more sense to add a new map with a trailer for only that map and so this on a regular basis instead of doing waves. Can someone explain this too me?

    There's no way knowing if good maps are made on a regular basis to put them in rotation.

    Ok you have a point but I more asking about the obvious delay in getting new maps with the wave system.

    There's no good reason, the trailer shouldn't take 3 months, the maps were selected ages ago. If they say it's because there's no Dev, mom has been helping out a lot recently and could easily do this. It's starting to get a bit annoying because no one has told us what is happening. Maybe we wouldn't be so annoyed if they made a thread about the plans.

    And its not because Brawl has no dev, they were able to change the maps for the rotation days and for Christmas.

    I don't care about the trailer, I WANNA PLAYYYYY the maps
    A: I want the maps to be a surprise
    B: A lot of people won't watch it anyway, the trailer's not that important

    Autocorrect meant nom xd. I know but these are the only reasons that I can think of.

    A lot of people do because the trailer is usually watched before the wave is released like with movie trailers etc.

    There have been many places where you can find which maps have been accepted and which not, or atleast went to the testing fase..

    Personally I would be more forgiving for the delay of the wave if the staff actually told us what problems were causing the delay in the first place. They either tell us, "unforseen problems came up" or "we're nearly done but have to fix a few bugs"
    If a problem causes a 3 month delay on a map wave, just tell us what is going on instead of being all vague about it and turning it into another necro meme.

    Dude they literally said the thing holding them back is the trailer for the wave by the media team
    (and whether you like it or not, Brawl needs to advertise servers somehow, and mapwave trailers are one way of doing so)

    The media team doesn't make CTF wave trailers.

    They've been assigned to do it from now on. It makes more sense to have someone who's assigned specifically to do it rather than a mod who does not specialize as much in video editing or uploading.

    May I ask where you got that information?

    Also, why does it take an entire team 3 months to make a trailer showcasing a few maps. The solo mods that made it back then made it much quicker.

    The mods thought the media team had to do it, they told the mods they don't, it's still the ctf mods their duty..

    It really shouldn't be the CTF mods duty though. If it takes them this long to make a trailer for a few maps, its really not productive considering Brawl has a whole team of people who could do it quicker, and of higher quality.
