Resignation The moment you've all been waiting for

Like Gehenna said, don't start flaming at staff. This thread should be about the unfortunate departure of 0racle.

 

Well some need to get their head straight and realize to change some of the ways, so this doesn't happen again, we keep losing our staff because of these. sorry if it seemed like I was attacked, but I was because 0racle was a loyal staff member.

 

I feel genuinely compelled to respond to this because apparently I indirectly had a lot to do with why you resigned. I'll only be talking about things that explicitly have to do with me, anything that has to do with Putty he can respond if he so chooses.

Initially I was very open to doing anything you suggested. This was because Putty had resigned and there basically wasn't anyone in charge of what I was doing. When Putty had come back, he told me to do any of the ideas that he had approved that you suggested. This is because he's running on a very limited budget and he wants to be very careful of what he wants to spend his money on. This is also why at a certain point you were going to hold a fundraiser to complete certain aspects of the update that you wanted.

It was "accidentally released" because I made a mistake where I was pushing all the features to live. I apologized for this multiple times. In my defense, however, it really only included 1 crucial update (team caps) and didn't include anything else significant (IE. new spawn, koths, etc.).

Putty had a google doc pinned inside of the slack Raid channel that contained literally an update log of everything that I was doing. If that wasn't enough, I explicitly remember linking you that doc multiple times.

I have been using the same test server for Raid ever since I initially started working on Raid back in July. You knew this, and a majority of the staff team that had some involvement with Raid knew about this as well. I suppose the only mistake I made was not reassuring the fact that this test server still existed and that I was still frequently using it.

I'm honestly confused. I was never rude to you nor have I ever said anything bad about you. If anything, you're kind of acting like a hypocrite here because of **** you said about me:

Anyways, thought I'd clear the air give another perspective of the story. Outside of that, it's unfortunate that you're leaving and I do wish you the best of luck in the future.

 

If we're going to criticizes the staff system, it needs to be constructive.

 

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to see what changes and updates were done with my own eyes because I barely played Survival, as did I on Raid. However I've seen many players vouched for your awesome job that you've brought to this server, as it really needed someone that could manage everything it, as well as an update - this job was done although things didn't turn out as you expected (according to what you stated). We are immensely thankful for what you have done for this server, as well for the whole community.

Honestly, you are not the only one not being heard in the staff team, I have also gotten through that way and that is very annoying I assume, even a month back as a player when I talked to Putty about joining the developer team, I have been ignored many times, maybe because I have never been in a developer team, but for me it worth a try...

Anyway, it's very sad to see a staff member leave, the sadder it becomes when it is a person like you. Raid will be a lot different without you here and there, I can believe that very strongly. Good luck with whatever like may bring to you, and stay around for us!

 

Damn, really didn't expect this. From what I saw (it may have been my time zone, how active you were on slack) you were the most caring SMod. You were always on IP checks, and really cared about your gamemode, and definitely weren't too cool for school. You've made an impact on this community I will never forget.

Thank you so so much for all you did. You were, imo (no offense to you other higher ups) the most active and caring SMod+. Your hours in game were incredible, considering all you did outside Raid. I am truly grateful. Cya man, stay on the forums I'd love to chat c:

Very sad to see you leave the Staff Team today 0racle. It goes without saying that you are a credit to yourself and Brawl throughout your time as a member of the Staff Team, and Raid truly does lose a great Manager today.

Regarding your personal comments towards me, I'm not going to respond to them because I don't really feel that I need to. What's happened has happened and if you feel you want to direct any blame towards me on that then I am fine with that I understand. I also believe some of your comments in your paragraph toward me are rude & unjustified but if that's how you feel I respect that & am sorry for that. It would have been nice for you to actually talk to me about this prior to having to announce it in your resignation but hey, if that's how you deal with things I can't change that.

I know how it feels to manage a gamemode that isn't the priority, (are there any gamemodes that ARE a priority anymore?) and how frustrating it is to increase it's player count. However, last time I logged onto Raid, I was amazed with all that had been done. KOTH's, new spawn, 40 players. I'm not sure how much you had to do with this, but it was amazing.

To be honest, I never really got to know you as a staff member. I remember being pretty spicy to you last year during the EULA stuff, and when you were constantly asking for the ability to X-ray checks. However, recently as I've seen your conduct as an SMod, I've grown to respect you.

While my assessment of the upper-staff team is flipped in the fact that I didn't get along with the people you do; and you don't get along with the person I did. I think the issues are the same. Not enough control, not enough communication, and someone breathing down your neck.

This is definitely a loss for Brawl, and I don't know who will fill it. Take care.

Preach. I don't deserve a response but all imma say is that you tried your best, that's all you can do. Thank you for putting in the effort to try and help the gamemode and for staying this long. Good luck wherever you end up.

 

Even thought I didnt know you that well, the times I did get to play on the same server as you, you were amazing! You were also very funny and a blast to play with. I hope to see you pop in here and there, Brawl will not be the same without you....

 

0racle you did so much for me (even though you worked on Raid, where I never play); after failing to complain to Roke about incorrectly resolved reports I turned to you. It was a good choice: you corrected others mistakes as well as mine profesionally and with a friendly attitude. Who am I going to complain now about incorrectly resolved reports. >:v

I saw your dedication to Brawl (Raid) in your posts and threads. You were always posting possible ideas and asking for feedback from the community (should be done more tbh). Great job arranging events too. It clearly has grown fruit, as I see a lot of my friendlist on Raid now.

I'd also like to tell my personal opinion on one of your takes on a staff member: Peas. Of course you know a lot more than I do, but I think you've made a mistake in your judgment. Peas is a hard working and friendly guy; just like you, he's posts are constructive and friendly. He also makes idea threads (WarZ) and clearly works hard. Just like you did.
As for his fast promotions, I know you feel that it's unfair that it happened, as there are so many other great staff members that could've had the spot Peas got. This was of course because of his previous influence on Brawl (as you know). He was a great Admin and one of the best too. I think he deserves it fully. I hope this changes your view. However, stay true to yourself; this is just my take on the subject.

About Mario and putty I wont say anything. I think you know more about them, and I too little. Mario said sorry though, I think it's the best he can do.

From the way you've written the thread it looks very clear that you're trying to play victim. Literally use that same exact post that you linked me or read any other comment in this thread. Everyone is trying to sympathize with you. Whether or not that's your intent, it's what it looks like.

I told you what the test server was. You even admitted to knowing about it as well. You not asking whether or not updates were live on it or not is a communication fault on your behalf. Again, I already said how me not reassuring that updates were live could be my fault, but it still doesn't take away from the fact that you could've asked.

The raid event not going to plan was indeed my fault for not making it on time. However, when I did log on and offered to help finish the event you, Roke, and Putty basically told me to **** off. You completely invalided my help because I didn't show up on time, which really pissed me off. I get that I make mistakes, but you using that as an excuse to completely reject my help afterwards is really frustrating to deal with.

Me not being as passionate for raid as you are (because that's what it is, not me not giving a **** about it, stop over exaggerating) is completely irrelevant to the fact that I wasn't getting things done on time. Whether you believe that or not is your problem, but it's the truth.

 

The party thing would make a lot more sense if context was provided, don't even know why it was brought up tbh.
