Capture The Flag New Class Idea

Um, just going from what you're saying here, it sounds like it doesn't have much of a knight theme and it sounds way too overpowered. You've got permanent buffs with speed, which gets boosted with strength if you kill someone. It's also got crazy armor and I'm assuming can reduce damage with the shield. This thing would instantly outclass any ninja due to the additional bulk, has more mobility than everything but ninja and soldier, and with that iron shield could also probably tank better than the heavy. I'm assuming that these buffs would also stack with each kill, making the problem worse. The concept of a knight class isn't a bad one, and it would fit with the CTF theme, but this would never be implemented, it's far too powerful in it's current state.

For anyone whos going to say this class doesnt fit a role, any decent new class is better than no change at all. It's tiring when people just complain that the class has no purpose but dont suggest a way to inprove

Some questions:

Is this free or premium?

How does this hook work? Does it throw out a fishing hook or some other projectile

Do you mean shield instead of iron shield (there arent any iron shields yet)

Do you know CTF is in 1.8 meaning there are no shields or any 1.8+ features?

Is there a primary weapon (you didnt mention if it had a sword)

 

Well, that's not necessarily the right way to look at a new class. A class really has to fill a particular niche for it to be viable in CTF; it has to do something better than any other class. I'm afraid that "killstreak" isn't a niche, it's just a way to farm a particular stat. It needs to have equipment and abilities based on a specific role, like for example archer, which is based on long range crowd control. Right now this thing fills a very similar role to heavy in that it's useful for 1v1ing in the short range, and should be good at all roles. Depending on how it plays out, this could either make heavy obsolete or become obsolete itself. Either way, it doesn't have it's own niche. It doesn't just need a nerf (which yes it does need), it needs to be taken in a direction that fills a new role whilst also making thematic sense with equipment and abilities. It needs a lot of work.
