General changes

One a month would definitely be better than once a week. Every event gets less and less players because we were hosting them so frequently, so we'd benefit from having them less frequently.

For a monthly event, this seems like a bit much. I'm thinking more along the lines of 2 weeks of ELITE for the first prize, 2 weeks of MVP for the second prize and 2 weeks of VIP for the third prize. Also, giving HG credits to the winners (15,000 for first place, 10,000 for second place and 5,000 for third place) would be a nice idea, so ranked players have more of an incentive to play (since most the players who play HG regularly nowadays have all the kits they want and/or a lifetime rank).

I'm undecided whether or not enabling these events for monthly HG events would be the best idea, really. These events are intended to be more special than regular events, as we do not have a developer at the moment and we have to re-use old code for events (admittedly, all we have, that I know about, are these events). Another event in the future, such as a summer tournament, would certainly benefit from this, however.

This idea will be tricky to do right (we don't want the airdrops giving crap loot which aren't worth going for, but we also don't want airdrops giving amazing loot which gives whoever finds it a considerable advantage). However, it could end up being pretty cool, provided we do it right.

BadBoyHalo came up with, shockingly, a popular idea to introduce feast events. This is always something I've wanted to see, and the more ideas we have for unique feast events, the better. I'm also liking the sound of the underground and sky feast - it could introduce some fairly interesting gameplay. I don't want it to be too different from regular feast fights though, since they are hella fun when there's enough players.

Yeah, I'd like to see the forcefield changed. Making it shrink once the bonus feast has started will certainly make the game speed up, and the lava balls is similar to the actual Hunger Games (IIR the film correctly) so that'd be a cool addition to add, as long as we don't lag out the server with fire spread.

Haha, I have some ideas for seasonal-themed events. If they go through, I'm hoping you'll know about them soon.

Adding this isn't quite this simple, but the concept will be mandatory if HG will ever be popular again. Armour will have to be nerfed so the long fights when you have full iron armour and an iron sword won't take too long. But with the few necessary tweaks, this isn't just a +1, this is a 100% necessary addition.

This would be ideal. I'll start working on one right away - even if we literally only get a book with a tutorial and not a full blown one, which would be ideal, its a step in the right direction.

To clarify, redstone does spawn in HG. Diamonds do not, and I've never seen lapis lazuli, but I haven't mined enough to know for sure if it exists yet.

A change in minifeasts would certainly be nice, as the loot they give you is not very good compared to the effort it takes for one to find a minifeast. I think HG needs a change where every single enchantment table has lapis in it so enchanting is always possible - even with the feast enchantment table, if you mine it and run away (which used to be a viable and common strategy for someone if they were getting outplayed in the feast fight) you need lapis lazuli to actually use it when you place it back down again.

Yes, please. This is hopefully a rather feasible update since we've had structures before. I'll pass it on and see how easy it is to add, and if so, hopefully we can get a sick competition going. It'd also speed up games, which is a step in the right direction. +1
