    It encreases the survivabiliy and time oft the medic/carrier, + if you're lucky enough you could knock them of buildings or into the void to kill the attacker.

    It still knocks them away and defends you. Getting sharpness I doesn't mean they won't stop attacking either. Having knockback will also mean you'll less likely have to use steak as much since they won't be attacking you consistently because they'll keep getting hit away

    Added in that the regen would stop when a player hits full hp so that they cannot get "overhealed" and tank a ton of extra hits. This also forces the medic to stay with the player, not hit & run away.

    But seriously. Here's a question. The combat tag, can that be inflicted by say, for example, one enemy? Does it require both players to engage in combat for it to apply? If that's the case, you could have a ninja just briefly attack a medic every five seconds, while a tank class could take advantage of the cooldown.

    Aware of the ninja counter, I think it's perfectly healthy with the amount of thing in the game that can kill an invis ninja.

    Added in that players on full health with items missing would display as having 9.9 hearts so newer medic players are encouraged to hit them again to restore their items

    Edit: Changed from hp display to Red/Green dot next to healthbar based on item status for better clarity.

    I wonder if instead of improving the attack (Medic sword buffed to sharp 1.) it wouldn't be more logical to improve the "support", "help" or "defense" parameters. Medic vs. (archer or ninja) already has good chances of wining in pvp combat. What if it has more cobwebs?

    After weeks of playing CTF, medic capping with the help of an another medic has become very annoying and broken at the same time. Both medics could'nt be killed by a pyro(immune to fire), usually they blocked, which rendered assassin useless and ninja could be 3-4shotted, depending on a buffed medic or not. Since this is one of the "main" medic threads, I believe that a medic should'nt be able to restore other medic's inventory. You would need an archer, which could headshot the medics, if they would'nt hide in the inside or alot of ninjas. Basicly, medic is just broken at capping.

    You would really say medic+medic is worse than medic+heavy? I suppose it differs based on the skill level, but imo heavy+medic is a lot worse. Maybe thats just me though.

    I was searching through the CTF wiki and saw this:
    • Medic - removal of sharpness 1 on sword, fire resistance
    So your bringing back the sharp 1 and medics keep the fire resistance. Nice!

    The thing that bugs me the most about the current medic heal is the fact that it's regeneration, because it turns people into f*cking tanks for a few secs, not even ninja can outdamage it. I see what you're trying to do with the change i quoted but what if the person takes constant damage right after the heal but before health is fully reapplied? They'd still sorta tank all incoming damage.

    Another thing is that the regeneration promotes ninja pearl capping soo strong. You basically get 2 - 3 teleports for free, no damage at all. I used to be ninja main, but even I admit that it's always been broken af.

    It promotes the usage of insta kill (assassin, archer) when a flag holding heavy is constantly babysitted by 2 medics, because people can't find another way around the tankyness... and i know most of us loooove instakill amirite?

    Overall it don't think it's healthy for the games balance.

    I suggest you make it instant heal again, like in the rly old dayz.. (which btw should probably fix the issue with the chemist regen too) and add a short cooldown to the heal in general, maybe 2 - 3 secs, whatever.
    You could also try a small heal per hit, so that medic would have to spamclick people, which would force mobile classes (best example: Soldier) to stay with the medic for a bit, which would open a bigger time window for recoverers to strike.

    I believe something like that would be more balanced than regen.

    Aside from that..
    the item restoration stuff looks good. Would love to see this tested.

    I'm not sure about the buffing of the sword, I find the pvp behind medics to be strong enough. But I like your idea behind the green/red dot system.

    Its a yes from me, nice idea.

    There's 5 heavies in the flag room with medics what do you do? There's 5 pyros with medics in the flag room, there's 5 dwarves in the flagroom with medics, there's five anything what do you do?

    You could assassinate a good chunk of most of these but you cant ninja because they just respawn and kill you
