Cross teaming

I see exactly where you're coming from. A little bit of cross-teaming is alright here and there. However, when people are constantly cross-teaming 24/7, the game tends to become a bit stagnant. I think staff should encourage players not to cross-team, but if people want to, they should be able to.

 

I cross team from time to time just to chill or just cuz I'm feeling a tad bit friendly xd
If I die I don't blame the killer, bc hey free credits. And to be fair sometimes I "accidentally" steal the flag too lol

So I'd blame chillin, friendly CTF regulars for ruining the game. jk pls don't ban me

 

What I would do, is either 1. Ignore them, or 2. Kill them. People just chill on CTF So it isn't as serious as it might have been before, but if you want to kill them, just kill them. Free kills on your stats!

1) They don't want to be in a team with only them being the good part of the team and the other team being stacked with TT & RR members.
a) I don't want to go against a team stacked with TT & RR members.
b) I don't. I usually either make a joke about it in the case of it being a known community member that kills me, I run away if it's a randee and ik I can't beat them, and I just kill them if they're eZ.
3) idgaf. well-known crossteamers nowadays just steal so they can perform the glitch where they keep a banner after dropping the flag.

 

The amount of crossteamers has increased because now, the same veteran playerbase is less spread out and concentrated on one server.
Just leave them alone or (try to) kill them.

 

(a I usually cross-team when it's like a 4v6 or a 5v8 or something. I usually try to equalize the player count a little. In 24v26 games I don't really do this, but if it's like a 2v5, I switch to make it more fair in terms of player count.
(b I really don't give a darn if I get killed xD. I just play for fun.

 

1) The people who cross-team are the ones who play CTF just about every day. All of us are friends, so we just hang out in the flagrooms sometimes.
2a) As I just said, to hang out with friends.
2b) I don't get mad I get killed unless it's by someone I know who is blatantly targeting me for being in the flag room. I don't mind someone coming through and clearing out the flagroom with Assassin, but I do mind when someone comes back over and over again.
3) I don't mind if people "accidentally" steal the flag, that's the point of CTF. If someone does take the flag, I just kill them.

I don't see any problem with cross teaming as long as those who are doing it aren't ruining the game for others (i.e. stealing the flag but not doing anything with it). The easiest solution to those pesky cross teamers (don't worry, we're not pesky) is just kill them.

@Diversities I don't think we should discourage cross teaming. It's almost always just the regulars hanging out. There are the occasions when the newer players will stand around with us and talk (which is always great to have new players joining the conversations and the community), but most of the time the newer players are killing people/attempting to cap.

 

The only time I cross team is when I really don't feel like playing, but am too lazy to get off, or just because I wanna screw around.
Like when a fashionista or dwarf wander into the enemy flagroom and sits in the corner blocking, you know that their not gonna do anything

 

If you like them being friendly, do nothing, and if you don't then kill them. No need for a massive fuss to be brought up about this

 

I used to team hop because the game of "convince people I'm friendly and try not to die" was more fun than capturing a flag

I feel this post. My CTF game count is in the low single-digits because often when I kill another player I get flamed because they "don't want to pvp".
