    You know how people sometimes just keep the flag and don't feel like placing it in the flagroom.

    I think we should add a time limit on when they need to place the flag.

    Idk Maybe 2 mins.

    what kind of time limit are we talking about here? 45 seconds? 1 minute? 3 minutes?

    How about this... after a certain time period of holding the flag, the flag poison damage increases, and increases again after another time period...(until it starts dealing major damage letting a buffed ninja or whatever kill it much more easily)?

    hmmmmm

    Because stalemates definitely do get stale...*cough* so like after 3 minutes of holding the flag, maybe double poison damage, 5 minutes triple, 10 minutes = dead (just a rough example).

    (i want to change my vote on the grounds of this edit but i cant. rip lol)

    Couldn't they reset the timer by dropping it and picking it back up or switching between teammates?

    @GalaThundR @Nightowl Maybe have it so the flag poison only resets if the flag carrier gets killed by an enemy player.
    (so killing oneself by switching classes or purposely dropping/passing the flag would still keep the flag poison multiplier for any team member who picks it up)

    @Nightowl Once both teams have had the flag for a long period of time (both teams' recovery failing to an OP defense/support) then I'd see it more beneficial to get the game rolling on and increase the difficulty for both teams' flag carriers. So there would still be much pleasure and satisfaction in the successful efforts of outliving the other.

    Along with making the game more fast-paced, this increased difficulty in maintaining the flag in stalemates can bring interesting new recov and support tactics in competitive (and intense casual xd) gameplay.

    I understand what you're saying and why you're saying it. I too hate stalemates that go on for 10+ minutes. However, as @Nightowl said:
    I know there have been times where I've held onto the flag for over 10 minutes, survive wave after wave of enemies and finally capping at the end. I don't really think it would be fair to those who work so hard to cap but die because of an increased flag poison. Flag poison is annoying enough if you don't have a team supporting you.

    This would interfere in gameplay if people actually are playing objectively. I get it's annoying when people don't know/want to capture a flag when it's available but this is going far too far the other way. @Jul13n has a much better angle in my opinion (if we really want to do anything about this, there are other priorities)
