I think they plan to make perks available to buy with credits.

 

Currently it's win big events occasionally for a coupon to the shop or top 3 in different areas like voting and (you know what I'm talking about). The guns were planned to be purchasable with credits but something went wrong and they got removed. Nothing has been planned since then for them so I don't think anything is currently planned for equipment/perks either. Maybe in the future when school is out and we find more developers, something could be done

 

That would be nice if they were purchaseable via credits. But make them VERY expensive. Example: Raygun: 40000

Alright that's better because the people who paid 5$ for items those items should be VERY hard to get without paying at all.

 

In 2.0 all of this stuff will be buyable with ingame credits, as basically everyone is aware of. You can win the vote contest as Shadow said above, and get multiple things.

You are totally right about Eula.

If the server can't make money from selling perks, it can't afford to hire a developer who can work on 2.0......

When we look back, I think the Eula changes will turn out to be one of the worst decisions.

 

I would agree.

For transparencies sake, if the developer left. That signals to me a lack of funding. If funding is why the developer left and it takes us a while to hire another then I think it is safe to consider that the project is a dead stick.

If someone has the project plan, with milestone dates, and they would like to share then I would consider revising my statement.

I've never actually seen the project plan so one might assume that there are no contingencies until another a developer is hired.

Developing a game is much more complex than just writing code.

Now, I'm not saying I ran over Santa with my 573 hp Acura NSX.......but if I did then that would mean Christmas was canceled.

 

We are hyping everyone because it will be out soon (after school's over for everyone and once we find an active developer).

To get back on your topic, there are coupons that you can win (reports/votes) in order to buy some stuff for free.
Your idea of making lethals/tacticals available at a certain level has been discussed many times before, and we're still debating on how we could make profit from War.

I would think we could have made the pay competitive to at least finish out the project...it's so not cool he left before finishing it.
