[Poll] Would You Play a 1.12 Game on Brawl?

THIS IS NOT ASKING WHETHER YOU PREFER 1.9+ OR 1.8!

This is to see how willing the current community would be to see a game on Brawl that uses the different combat mechanics introduced in 1.9. By "1.12 Game" I mean a game that has attack cooldowns; other 1.9+ features would be up to Brawl to use or not.

My current thought is that adding a 1.12 game would attract some people from the large 1.12 audience that Minecraft has, who may not have played or have grown disinterested with Brawl. However, since we can't know how effective a 1.12 game would be to attracting new players, I think it would be good in the first place to know how much it would be played by the current player base.

Current Results:

As of now, there have been 44 voters out of 320 viewers of the thread. Not voting will be treated as being indifferent to 1.9+ for the purpose of this analysis:

Of those who voted, a fifth would play a game that uses 1.9+ cooldowns on weapons.
Of those who voted, a third would play with at least some 1.9+ mechanic(s) included (shields, tipped arrows, etc).
35 people are strictly opposed to playing with 1.9+ cooldowns, and 30 of them will never load up a 1.9+ version of MC in their lives.

276 people who saw this poll didn't vote, which I interpret as not being strongly opposed to playing a 1.9+ game, though not particularly interested by the idea. This is the large majority.

From this data, I don't see adding a new 1.12-only game (or a 1.12 variant of an existing game) to be harmful or pointless - most people are not strictly opposed to it, and it would attract new players who play on the current version of MC.

Explain. I'm aware that 1.8-1.11 people wouldn't be able to play it, but what makes the creation of the game impossible?

 

I mean... no? They're way better now than 1.8 ever was, but I'm not suggesting a version change, I'm asking if people would play a game that uses different combat mechanics - you guys seem okay with guns, so why not normal combat with cooldowns?

 

I'm not asking for the server to become 1.12. Seriously, I'm just asking for one game to be 1.12.

 

@Grenzo I would be okay with a 1.12 version of an existing game, or a new one, although I suspect an alteration of an existing game like CTF or KitPvP would be easier than trying to come up with a new game.

 

@SoCool21 I wasn't suggesting the 1.12 CTF replace the 1.8, just that both versions are available. And anyways, I'm not suggesting that with this thread - I'm just giving it as an example. But okay, for the sake of this poll, assume you're voting for a new game that uses 1.12 features.

And SoCool, actually, I did make that entirely-in-vanilla version of CTF in 1.12 if you wanted to check it out.
