Idea Credits For 90% Killing a person

    Hi,
    How about we give players that do over 50% damage but dont get the kill 1-2Credits.
    Anything under 50% and that actually dont kill the person dont get credits.(You still get your 2credits if you kill the person)

    why exactly would you need these credits if theres so little to buy

    i dont need credits anymore :8 im sitting on 190k.
    just wanted more ways of obtaining credits

    The recent reduction of the cost of classes from 30,000 credits to 15,000 credits can be thought of as permanent double credits after your first purchase of a class. Adding things like these are completely unnecessary as of now. In my opinion, it has the same reason as why we should not be able to give credits to other players: having dozens of engineers running around can potentially have a devastating effect on gameplay experience and frame rate.

    Well I would at least be a tiny bit frustrated if I was solo killing a heavy as something like ninja and pulled off a sick combo and then have an archer snipe him or an assassin kill him. Now a change like this would not give enough credits make the difference between an engineer haven and CTF utopia. This is just so you don't get the same rage as getting a kill steal.

    The amount of time it would require to implement this could be used on something else. I'm not saying it takes a lot of time but it's still something.

    If there was a reason to still have credits, (there isn't much you can do with them after you have everything, but I can understand other people)
    I'd support this idea. Maybe 1 cred for assists (dealing second most damage or most damagebutnotkill, chemist who buffed the person (giving chemist more reason to support) or medic/engi/chemist who healed them last within (x) amount of seconds, etc)
    But this could be hard to code so....

    I think that before anything else happens with credits, they should figure out a way to gift credits to other people who need them

    I can see the frustration for a kill steal, but there's already so many ways to earn credits. We should be coming up with more ways to get rid of credits, rather than finding more ways to earn them. I'm not the biggest fan of this idea, just because it feels too.. extra. This really isn't as big a problem as that looming 190k you're sitting on:wink:.

    This is a whole other thread entirely, but since you brought it up, we can talk about it:grinning:. While gifting credits would solve an immediate problem with players having too many credits, there are two large consequences that would result:

    1. The players would earn all their credits back eventually, thus just giving a temporary solution to a permanent problem.

    2. The players who need the credits would now be in the same boat. Once everyone buys all the classes through gifted credits, now these players are also stuck in the problem of too many credits.

    Someone else could probably find more issues with gifting, but imo it's just a temporary solution. To get back on track, we don't need more ways to earn credits, while this idea is thoughtful, it's ultimately useless and would contribute to a much larger issue of excessive credits.

    I get what you are saying because if gifting was added, then it would be too easy for new players to get credits since many regulars would have more than enough credits and own all the classes, and I think that the new people would get the credits then buy all the classes and play until they get bored and I think that brawl and the CTF community would miss out on new people.
