Idea Chemist changes

    Hello, my ign is zuig and I'm going to be talking about the chemist class. Me as being a chemist main, I can obviously see the pros and cons of the class. I will give my opinion now on what I think needs to be reworked (lol).
    Ok ok to begin, I think there should be a bigger cooldown for poison and insta damage pots, as in the bar loses xp quicker. I think this should be the case, because it prevents pot spam and players accusing you of potspamming (even though I don't ^ ^^^^ lol). If you add this then in my opinion, there should be more insta damage pots added. I think 12 isn't enough considering the chemist has to get across the whole map if they want to cap and insta damage is the best offensive potion. We should increase the damage pots from anywhere 15-20, but keep the poison pots. It would be a nice addition also, if we had 15-20 damage pots, without my first rework idea. I don't have really any struggle with the heal and regen pots (they are ok), and I don't know if the ctf community has really noticed, but chem. heal pots can heal about 8 hearts, so they are VERY over powered if used correctly ( :smile: ). Also, one thing we could add BACK is the 3 fire res. pots. Its REALLY annoying having to use them every 30 seconds, when we can have a 3 minute potion and only 3 of them. Also 5 strength and 5 fire CAN be added, because a chemist wont be alive for 9 minutes without getting healed (technically speaking), so there is not really a point in having this few strength potions. Ok another thing that I don't really care about but have an idea for is the slowness pots. They are very underused, and maybe they should be increased from 3 to 5, because they can help well round the class better. Moving on to the armor: I think that the chemist armor is very bad, but it cant be buffed. It is pretty hard to chemist cap when there are 3+ people on defense, because chemist gets:
    2 shotted by heavy
    3 shotted by ninja
    4 shotted by medic
    3 shotted by soldier
    easily killed by pyro
    Maybe buff the armor a LITTLE bit, but not too much to make it broken (lol).
    Well, that's my opinion on chemist rework ideas. HOPe u enjoIII and C u l8er peps :smile:.

    Yep yep let's also bring back 10 health pots and give protection 4 diamond armour

    For real though the only thing I agree with is the fire res, but maybe make it 90 seconds. As for more damage pots, not sure how I feel about that, especially because of how much damage they deal to a ninja (chemists main counter imo since chemists can just run from buffed heavies) and assassins. But on the other hand decent ninjas can take out chemists if played correctly so of course it depends on skill.

    Ok so basically, no, no, and no. Chemist was nerfed from that for reasons and I'm ok with that. The do bar should not effect buffs since pot spamming buffs will only result in getting you screwed over, that's where I find myself constantly losing in situations I can take. I can take 4v1s easily yet the ****ty xp bar basically turns me into an SG player running away from them tossing debuff over my head so I don't end up getting railed by 4 kids.

    Chemist's dying quickly is a sort of balance to their high damage output, and buffed Chemist does more damage than harming pots does anyway.

    Not really, im not good at chemist but I've stated playing it again and throwing a damage and poison at the same time is actually pretty op. If you do this then you are going to run out of poison quicker because you start with less poison.

    Only thing I think needs changing is fres. Other than that chemist is fine, I wish there was a way to stop ninja being op against it but I'd say if you know how to use chemist well, it can be very op anyway.

    Damage potions act more like a kb source than a damage source. It probably does around 1-2 hearts at most if you want to continue a combo. On most maps buffed heavies will easily destroy chemists, so buffed heavy is the main counter to it, as well as good ninja players. Theres this very annoying glitch where you block and then switch to damage and block again and you still get assassinated, but I don't think that's a big problem right now.

    1. In that case, sir, you must be very lacking in the skill department.
    2. They kill you during the time you switch to the pot?? May not look like it but Brawl lag. Same thing with when medic heals you, your sword unblocks for a split second and you get assassinated. That is not a glitch either (though it's not intended).

    smh You saying chemist takes skill? Wait till you see engineer. Turret placement and cake placement, as well as structure defense requires a very high IQ to understand, and to beat an engineer successfully, you need to have an IQ similar to that of the engineer main. smh

    What I see in a chemist class is that the player that uses the class should be using their pots more then their sword. Not to pot spam, but to allow chemist to fulfill a chemist's purpose-to throw potions at people. I mean that's what they did back in the medieval times, right? *Imagine a real life chemist throwing potions at hits foes*
