CTF is becoming a bigger target of hacker raids, we need much more mods. Especially those from Australia time zones since most of them come on when there are no mods.

Of course mods cannot be on at all hours of the day to catch hackers. This can be (kinda) solved by adding more moderators, but there's so much that goes into the selection process that it's really not the simplest solution. The players can help catch these hackers, if you have the ability to record, you can record a hacker and submit the evidence at brawl.com/report.

Having more moderators would help, but just keep in mind that the community can help solve the issue.

Of course designating moderators takes a while, but the banning process with video proof takes too long, and doesn't really get rid of the issue when hackers can have many, many alts to play with.

Perhaps add a system where if a sufficient number (unknown) number of players vote to ban a hacker, they will be temp banned for 5-10 minutes? I am not sure, but it really sucks plaiyng during the less busy times because of hackers, so when the next mod applications come up, I hope time zone will be a big factor too

You have a valid point, but it doesn't really have anything to do with timezones. Most of the CTF mods are NA, with Nohox being the only European mod standing, hence most of them have a life outside of CTF it would be harsh to expect NA mods to stay up until 4am their time so we could play at 10am while being certain there won't be any hackers (for example) and if there would be that they'd be stopped. The only moderator capable of doing is @Miskey I'm a very big fan of having 1 or 2 really active EU players as mods on ctf but as of now it seems like no one on the European side is really qualified for the job, or does not feel like doing it. In any case @November just apply already

Agree with this a lot, and would like to add on that some Australian mods would be appreciated too.

Would be abused. Best solution is a working anticheat.

in comparison to some other big servers, won't give out any names Brawlbot is fairly decent. It could indeed use some more stuff like the diehard pvpservers have.

Almost every anticheat is better than brawl bot, I can almost guarantee you that if you name a servers anticheat I can explain how it is better than brawls.

You can't add more mods if there aren't good candidates, the only good candidate doesn't even want to be a mod lmao.

Some nights I'll be up until 1-2am PST/8-9am GMT (I think that's correct), but I'm normally the only CTF mod on at those times if I'm awake. It would be nice if there was an additional EU mod or two for CTF. There are a few EU mods, but none of them are CTF specific or know CTF really well. An AU mod could be useful, but based on the number of people who play at those times (most of them being regulars who are on every day) it wouldn't be absolutely necessary in my opinion.

    That's debatable.

I agree that some more mods, especially those in a timezone of interest, should be hired or recruited into the staff team after a thorough review of their history like any other applicant would be subject to. I'm usually online during the night hours of Pacific Time and there are rarely any moderators with exception to a few from time to time. I do agree with others that moderators from Asia or Europe could be beneficial to the server.

As far as what server to start off these moderators, I'd recommend KitBrawl as that seems to have the most rulebreakers along with generic chat issues.

Not much else to say other than I agree.

Obviously it would be beneficial for the staff team to be spread out over multiple different timezones, but unfortunately it's not really something that can realistically happen, and that's not even specific to Brawl. I've seen tons of servers struggle at night simply because there's not enough staff members to be online.

I've seen a few good candidates, but ultimately it's up to them whether or not they want to apply. For the time being all you can do is hope BrawlBot picks up on them, and if not, report them so they at the very least won't be able to come back.
