if you read instead of trying to look good for your next mod application you would see that there is confusion about a rule and discussion about changing the rule

    No lol

Eil and I were watching someone who was doing that. I started watching the player when i noticed that he was using the macros. I asked eil to come online and he said that it wasn't allowed. Eil was sadly 1 minute too slow and the player already stopped using the macros.

Those macros aren't chat macros. They give a clear advantage. Eil would have punished the player if he saw it.

Eil was teaming with an x-rayer during a war tournament 5 straight games in a row before the 2 mods they were facing decided to ban the player. Eil immediately left the server. I honestly don't think he knows what's bannable and what's not. If the macro opens chat, it's allowed. Been like that on warz with ./tpyes macros, been like that forever.

I don't know if there's any special exception for raid commands like tracking, as it doesn't specify that in the rules, nor is it implied anywhere.

    It says in the rules
    • Do not use modifications (mods) that give you an advantage over other players, including macros.
I'm pretty sure tracking macros can be viewed as an unfair advantage so there is no need to be so salty

Really? The only macro he used was to remind people playing raid to "play raid". When I asked him about it he said that mouse macros were allowed. Anyway he won't be punished for macros because there was confusion between staff as to what was and wasn't allowed.

This isn't just about wurst now, it's about which macros are allowed and if command macros should be added to the disallowed rules list

There was an error with his macros for some reason so it didn't enter the "/" before the "play raid". His intentions with the macros was to stay online 24/7 because players wouldn't warp when he was online.

Xray can be a very subtle hack, and during tournaments, ones attention is usually focused on helping the team, and aiming to win, rather than following 1 player around watching them constantly thus letting the rest of the team down.

You confuse not knowing what is bannable, with not focusing on moderating for subtle hacks at the time. Also, while it is not relevant, I had been offline for 7:14 before the player was banned.

^ @chickenputty this is a huge deal. Macros can abuse raid pretty easily, especially for tracking, chat spamming or AFKing. Your guidance is appreciated, thanks.

Stop tagging putty. Moderators have already told you what is right so stop getting butthurt you can’t ban your biggest enemy on raid... I and many other intelligent people have used chat macros that open chat for many years like a /tpyes macro on warz. They’re allowed and this thread should be locked as the question has been answered. @SoCool21

    Read that plz^
I was told on raid that macros weren't allowed ages ago.
There has been confession about the rule and I have had 2 different answers from mods about macros.
I suggest you read before knotting your knickers. But that's for your input into the discussion.
BTW wurst isn't an enemy, all he has done is bring sleeq to an xray chest at my AFK which helped get your hacking team mate banned. He is just fun to play against.
Back on topic, what macros do players use on raid?

You can use macros that open chat like a /track macro where you click your mouse and it opens chat and types /track at whatever speed you want. Thanks for trying to trigger me with the story, can we get a lock please question has been answered.

So auto tracking is allowed? I mean you are a MOD so what you say is what I will take as the rules... Oh wait
And people want this changed (if it is allowed) so this thread should be locked so no one can discuss it? Damn how did you not get forum admin?

Macro's for tracking, or warps should not be allowed. Tbh, I don't see a real point in allowing any sort of chat macro allowed for raid. They are useful is some cases, cough Eil cough, but I don't think it's really fair for Raid, as not everyone has access to them. I think discussion should be allowed to happen about it, since it is a rule that should be changed and discussion is essential to reach an agreement / conclusion. No reason for a lock imo

There’s a difference between auto tracking macros and macros in general. Ritzy is an ex-Mod and I think he knows what he’s talking about.
