E.M.P. Update

    After a few weeks of testing the E.M.P. update is finally completed and live thanks to our newest developer @redslime !

    Most of the changes can be found on these two threads, but I will summarize them below:
    Elf Rework - https://www.brawl.com/threads/70281/

    Changes:
    Elf -
    • Sword down one sharpness level
    • Chestplate and Leggings up one protection level
    • Elf now regains 4 arrows for each kill
    • The pure element now roots players for .75 seconds (15 ticks) upon impact when shot at max charge
    • The wind element now requires two arrows per shot and will summon a vortex that pulls players in for two seconds rather than pushing them away
    • The water element now applies a splash zone that removes all fire from teammates and applies regeneration 2 and resistance 1 for five seconds
    • Elf shield no longer reflects friendly projectiles
    • The earth element has been removed
    Mage -
    • Damage spell now correctly kills vulnerable assassins
    • Lightning spell aoe now kills vulnerable assassins, as opposed to just the egg being able to
    • Mage lightning no longer pushes away players that are in spectator mode
    Pyro -
    • Pyro's leather chestplate has been replaced by a chain chestplate
    • Steak count has been reduced from 5 to 4
    • Flint n steel no longer causes gravel to fall down
    Chemist -
    • "Slowness" potions have been replaced with jump boost 2 potions that last 4 seconds each
    Medic -
    • Cannot heal other medics or be healed by other medics while in combat (5 second combat timer from the last time they took melee damage)
    • There are now red/green particles to indicate whether or not a player has full items when at full health
    • Medic health display has been fixed
    Ninja -
    • Invisibility dust no longer turns to silly powder when hitting a friendly zombie
    Steak -
    • Steak now has a glass pane placeholder when used up to prevent some glitches (credit)
    General -
    • Pyro inventory saving is enabled again
    • Use /saveinv to save your hotbar layout
    • The CTF alltime leaderboard is back up
    Spectators -
    • JMOD+ now receive /spectate feedback
    • Personal statistics have been removed from the sidebar when in spectator to free up some space
    • Names in the tab list will no longer turn white after a while
    • Spectators now have a health display for players

    CANT wait to test all the new stuff out ^_^ clarification tho, the splash zone continuously removes fire for 5 sec if you're just standing in it or...?

    EMP Update will not be activated for the remainder of the tournament on the match server right.

    Found a bug where if you reflect an elf's pure and it hits someone, it will give the elf it's first shot for the 7 heart true damage, even though the arrow was reflected.

    I got to say, after playing Elf for a bit, 2 of its abilities, the wate and pure element, are perfectly fine and are a nice improvement. Now, the wind element. I have only once before seen so much rage over something, and that was with engineer’s conception. I myself like it, because its so satisfying to see chemist after mage after soldier get dragged back into a crowd of enemies and painfully murdered. Its a wonderful equalizer for any defence, but not so strong that on a few member defence its unstoppable. (Hell it does nothing against ghost or premature pearl caps) But, I can see why a lot of people don’t like it. It can be spammy with more than one elf, and it horribly throws off most regular’s gameplay. Maybe we could increase the cooldown on it so you can’t just spam the crap out of it.

    I find the regen given by the water element to be a bit slow compared to other forms, but the class as a whole already seems quite strong. Really enjoying the changes :smile:

    I'm not sure if these were addressed already but,

    - The medic displace says that everyone is at health 0.
    - I have yet to see green particle effects, everyone's particle is red for me. (As medic)
    - The map [Vault] SkyTower isn't configured properly. Red's flag is mid-air and Red's spawn is above the void. (Not sure if this is part of the update but this is the first time I'm seeing this map and this problem)
    - The scoreboard randomly disappears and the next round won't start if it does. (Again, not sure if it's part of the update but also something I noticed for the first time)

    Nevertheless, nice update and I look forward to giving some more feedback soon. :blush:

    Switch to the default resource pack for a second and check if it works, I had the same issues with my resource pack first, needed to delete the particles file of the primary resource pack to fix it

    While I played last night, I encounter a few glitches/bugs. It is possible these are only happened to my due to my internet, or these are not related to the current update.

    The scoreboard become glitch where it is not correctly updated with the person who has the flag. BrandinoB had the flag in the past, but not at the moment of this screenshot. This happened the game before this, and as a result of that at the end of the game, the scoreboard was remained like that and everyone need to disconnect or type /hub to rejoin another game.

    The elf inventory remains like how it is in the hotbar every time I respawn. If I change the layout (except the arrows), when I respawn the new layour does not save. The same happens with pyro but I am not sure if it was planned to fix this in this update.

    You are not able to move elf arrows around in your inventory, meaning if I wanted I am not able to put arrows in the 8 slot.

    You are able to glitch the flag where it is not above your head. The flag goes back above your head every time you get a full restore from medic.
