Idea Ninja issues

    As you know, there are many issues with ninja right now. So i will be pointing out issues and suggesting changes associated with them.
    Invisibility
    -Really annoying when you try to use a sword to kill a ninja, but they turn invisible whenever you try to attack them. Maybe make it so that the ninja takes 20%[may be changed] of the damage inflicted whilst invisible.
    -When you shoot a ninja with a mage damage spell or archer arrows, you hear the sound, but when you forget to turn the volume on, you do not realise the ninja has been shot. Maybe make it so that you get a chat warning saying that you shot the ninja.
    Flash Bombs
    -We all know what eggspam is. It is really annoying when you try to kill the ninja, but they eggspam you and turn invisible. Or when you are the only one defending the flag, and they eggspam you, and ninja cap.
    I would suggest a change in ninja eggs.
    Basically it's like how medic snowballs regenerate. So you start off with none but you slowly regenerate eggs at the same rate as medic snowballs. The maximum amount would be the 5 eggs. There is no limit on how many eggs you would be able to throw at a time.
    Enderpearl
    -Really frustrating when a ninja epearls towards you and kills you when you are mage or elf or etc. I would suggest giving a limit on the distance travelled by epearls [20 blocks, can be changed].
    Steal time
    -A ninja has an extended flag steal time. However, they can still capture pretty easily when there is a small amout of players in the flagroom. Maybe reduce the distance travelled by epearls when the ninja is holding the flag but also giving the ninja normal steal time.
    These are all my suggestions, please comment on them.

    I really like this idea, I'd probably make the maximum even lower - 3 maybe

    I'm not sure how possible it is to reduce distance travelled by ender pearls, but some way to limit ninja mobility with the flag would definitely be a good change.

    The rest of the problems you suggested aren't huge issues imo. I don't think it's a good idea to nerf the class in 4 or 5 different ways at once, maybe just nerfing the 1 or 2 biggest issues would be better.

    I'm down for the reduced eggs and regeneration, it's a good idea and stops the eggspam easily.
    I'm not sold on the other suggestions though, it's part of the class that Ninja can go invisible and has those benefits, they get killed pretty easily as is, I think the most it takes is 4 hits out of all the classes, so having invis is the only way to get out of these situations. Granted it's annoying when you're facing a Ninja and they keep toggling invis, but ah well, a lot of classes have features like that, such as mage damage spam, pot spam and bowspam, to name a few. Also, just keep your volume on.
    Ender pearls are again one of the benefits to the ninja class and has a variety of functions. Perhaps the best function is to get in front of the flag carrier to hold them up, and also to chase people and maintain a close distance so you can inflict damage. The only thing that your change would effect would most likely be the first function, limiting ninjas mobility and stopping it from helping with recovery, which I think is unnecessary.
    I get where you're coming from in terms of pearling with the flag, it does seem overpowered but honestly the only way to fix would be to just stop ninja from capturing at all. Even if you limited the distance of the pearl, they could still easily get clear of flagroom defenders and most likely maintain that distance because of the speed effect.

    So in summation, yes to egg changes, no to everything else.

    I think this is just overtop, I believe ninja needs to be nerfed but not all of these things. For example, I would like to see eggs have some effects if not all removed and the regenerating system like you suggested. However, I'd rather be in favour of buffing other classes so they are more balanced but ninja can remain as it is

    Their redstone turns into silly powder, which means they can't turn invisible yet so they have to wait a second or two (I don't know the exact time) before they can turn invisible.

    You can already do this with a few classes, for example, you can throw damage/poison potions as a chemist and if they're in the area, they will take those effects.

    This isn't really a "ninja issue", you can easily fix this by just turning up your volume. It is your fault if you forgot to turn up your volume.

    +0, the main problem with ninja eggs right now are the effects of them. Currently, there are 3 effects (slowness, nausea II and blindness) and in my opinion, blindness should at least be removed. Some ninja mains are mainly using eggs to start combos, which doesn't regard the effects at all.

    Like @Daveeeeeeeee said, ninja can remain how it is as there aren't huge issues with the class and I'd rather see more buffs of the other classes.

    This has been nerfed in the past and there really isn't anything wrong with this right now

    That or effects, as others have already brought up. Cancelling sprint/slowness/blindness makes things very difficult in combination

    Mobility is an issue, but I don't think this is the way to necessarily solve it

    Not sure this is really a problem. CTF is a team game. If you don't have people watching the flag properly, that's really your problem rather than the ninjas.

    Some of the issues you've raised have merit. I just don't necessarily think the way you've described is the right way to go about fixing them. Also +1 for the idea for buffing other classes rather than nerfing ninja

    The only thing here that I can see happening would be with the ninja eggs. Since MMR is usually more than 3 eggs at 1 time is egg spam, just give ninja 3 eggs and egg regeneration. Other than something with the eggs, I think I'll pass.

    3 eggs is kind of too little, but i will consider.

    I never expected all of these ideas to be implemented, if any.
    My objective was to create a variety of ideas, and to see which ones were the best/ not hated the most. The ones that were liked the most would be the ideas i would focus on and try to improve. My other objective was to encourage other people to make a thread on, perhaps my suggestions, or take ideas from my suggestions. Though ninja is not the hugest issue in ctf, many ctf players feel ninja is op sometimes. My goal was also to see how they would respond to my suggestions.
