    So, before I begin describing the class, I just wanted to say that this is not a completely original idea for a class. This is more my take on a really interesting idea I found in an older thread.

    The original Class Idea, which was called Guard, was made by TWC123, and it can be found at https://www.brawl.com/threads/40050/. This is my rework of the class.

    Name: Gatekeeper

    Symbol: Iron Chestplate

    Role: Defense, Recovery

    Armor:
    • Diamond Helmet
    • Iron Chestplate
    • Chain Leggings
    • Chain Boots
    Items:
    • Gatekeeper Staff
      • Diamond Shovel
      • Sharpness II
      • Right Click to create a Particle Wall.
        • Particle Wall is a 5-Block-Wide, 3-Block-Tall area in front of the Guard that knocks back enemies who touch it and blocks projectiles.
        • Its presence is shown by a fountain of stone breaking particles in the area.
        • It lasts for 5 seconds before vanishing.
        • When a Wall vanishes, you must wait 20 seconds before you can deploy another one.
    • Gatekeeper Egg
      • Egg
      • Does 2 HP of True Damage to anyone it hits and gives them 3 seconds of Slowness I.
      • Can only have up to 2 at any given time.
      • Receive Eggs when you hit someone with the staff.
    • Teleportation Tome
      • Enchanted Book
      • Right Click, and you will teleport back to your team's flag's home after 3 seconds.
      • While waiting three seconds, you may not switch to another item, move, or engage in combat. Any of these actions will cancel the teleport.
      • If you're carrying the flag, using this will cause you to drop the flag.
    • Gatekeeper Steak
      • 3 Max
    Passives:
    • Royal Orders
      • When their team's flag is at base, this class has Resistance I.
      • When their team's flag is being held, this class has Speed I.

    Sounds great, although I dislike the slowness one. I understand the concept behind it, but the switch between resistance and speed seems fine enough for me.

    Yeah, I see where you're coming from. I'm just worried that Gatekeeper would be too powerful if allowed to be an Offense Class. The Slowness kinda forces him into a Defense Role. Also, Resistance is nothing to sniff at. I was kinda thinking that maybe there could be a way to make him more fragile while Flag's not at base to balance that out and incentivize recovery, but there's no effect for that...IDK.

    If added to the game, the class would definitely need some testing and balancing.

    Always better to have a new class idea slightly better than weak. Slowness will lead to people not playing the class, simular to dwarf. I understand your concern though.
