    CTF Map Submission

    This is a map that was originally part of a larger map, submitted back in 2016. It was made by me and a couple other people, and it wasn't ever tested (it was basically just a worse version of opposites collide). I took that map (ttps://www.brawl.com/threads/54469/) and split it into an above ground map and an underground map. This is the above ground map.

    I can see the theme you were going for in the terrain design, but it just seems odd that a map themed and named "Meteor" is perfectly green & grassy aside from the bottom of the crater (maybe add some fire, netherrack, etc.). The flag room might be favorable to offense with how open the front entrance is, but overall the designs are good. With this map being on the smaller side and having side hills, it would inevitably be archer op to some extent, but with the current cover I don't think it would be too bad. Mid is also quite sketchy... perhaps put a layer of glass over the crater to make it more navigable? I foresee new players getting knocked in and farmed quite easily, but that's just me. 5/10

    Finally, a map with a unique underground design :grinning:. The caves are a good size and mid has a good tactical setup with plenty of cover. Great job on the flag room, great combination of aesthetic and layout. Might be a little elf op, but overall seems balanced for defense. My only concern is the lava traps in the middle caves adjacent to each flag room... for obvious reasons. Also, the map was not reflected perfectly (distortions at mid), but that should be an easy fix. 9/10

    Thanks for the feedback!
    Made some changes based on what you said.

    Meteor:
    - Added coarse dirt & netherrack surrounding the impact area
    - Added a couple sponges at mid so getting up from the meteor is easier
    - Added glass to cover the lava on the meteor (safer to navigate)
    - Made some of the flagroom entrances narrower
    - added a barrier outside flagroom to reduce flagshooting


    Metia:
    - removed the lava trap in middle tunnel
    - fixed distortion at mid
    -added a little more lighting just because

    Just a heads up:
    You used spawn blocks in the crater of your map Meteor, that will be a problem ingame. I suggest to change red's spawn to redtstone blocks.

    Here are my thoughts:

    I do agree that it is a bit too open in the side middle sections which will annoy most players but not archers. Flagroom seems decent, though I don't think it needs as much water in it. I would just remove the water near the front entrance in that case.

    Also concerning the webs placed near the meteor, those webs should be removed because it would heavily impact gameplay if players get stuck.
