Idea New Pyro rework

    Its about time to update my thoughts on Pyro after the hangout group discussion, my opinion has change from them and i need to make a proper class rework post


    Armor

    -Leather Helmet
    -Iron Chestplate
    -Leather Pants
    -Leather Boots

    Items

    -Axe
    -4 Steak
    -Flint and Steel
    -Bow
    -Arrows

    Frenzy add on (From previous post about Pyro)

    -When frenzy is activated inside water element from an elf the water element disappears into smoke but does not set anyone on fire,but frenzy is still active(until frenzy timer runs out) and will be able to do frenzy damage to players set on fire.
    -(Frenzy will still do the same amount of damage as it does now)

    New Ability (Idea came to mind during discussion,shout out to them)

    -upon left clicking the flint and steel (with mana at set # needs testing to see how much mana it should take from frenzy mana)You will be given speed I - speed II for about 3 - 5 seconds (needs testing), but you will be set on fire and take fire damage (may have to give fire resistance during the speed and take fire damage after speed is up so fire tic does not interfere with speed)
    Another possibility instead of taking fire damage the Pyro is given weakness for a certain amount of time after ability is used


    Color Code (Netflikx idea)

    -as the pyro gets frenzy his armor turns red to show other players that the pyro has frenzy.

    There's not really any way to fight a Pyro right now (unless you're a Ninja) - the main way to counter a Pyro is to avoid it, and Pyro's lack of mobility is a weakness that I don't think we should address. I'd be fine with seeing increased mobility for Pyro as long as it is made easier to fight for classes like Soldier, that can't damage a Pyro faster than it can steak.

    Well first of all heavy (for some reason) can actually match up to Pyro extremely well, which doesn't make any sense because Pyro is supposed to counter heavy. Not only this but Chemist can also screw over a Pyro pretty hard by kiting them with poison and damage pots. Second of all soldier shouldn't have an easier time fighting Pyros? It's supposed to counter high armor classes pretty hard, not have an even match-up against them.

    If this is an issue with current Pyro, this rework won't change that. To fix it, we'll need a buff to frenzy or it's armour.

    At the moment, Pyro pretty much hard counters low-damage classes such as Soldier. There is pretty much nothing a Soldier can do while fighting a Pyro except run, because Pyro does much higher amounts of damage to a Soldier than vice versa. Also, Soldier isn't a high-armour class - iron armour is fairly basic, and not much better than Archer's armour.

    I think that if a heavy and a pyro just run at each other head on and swing, the pyro should die. To buff frenzy or armor to make this not the case makes pyro too powerful outside of defense and turns it into another roaming pvp class. Rather, the way in which pyro should be able to beat heavy is with some amount of preparation and strategy so that it's powerful on defense but can't be used all over the map.

    Right now, the pyro in my opinion is not hard to counter. The techniques that are used to counter it are easy for all players, in my opinion of course, they include: Running away when the pyro has frenzy and returning without being on fire or comboing the pyro in general. All though it is balanced right now a change would not be bad and should be encouraged by all players.
