    Engineer is very scattered rn. I find some think its too powerful with tnt and some thing its too weak and stuff. Engineer needs a lot of work. Having TNT does not make it god-like and therefore nerfed entirely that it's counted as also an annoying class and that its counted as useless in matches.

    I suggest an interesting idea for Engineer

    Pickaxe replacement and NEW ABILITY- A sword! However, the sword can swap its abilities by right clicking. A TOGGLE ABILITY!! An indication of the type of sword can be made. What makes it unique is that it has never been done on ctf before - making the class unique in its own way! It also kind of fits the name. A chemist has pots because chemist means like potions and stuff. Assassin means they kill, hence insta kill. Engineer means they build things that like an assassin wouldn't be able to do for - hence this ability! eg For eg

    Golden Sword = Sharpness 1
    Diamond Sword = Knockback 1

    This idea is really interesting and allows the engineer (because it has engineer it should have abilities that an engineer can do and a normal class like heavy can't) to swap between its sword enchantments. This also promotes skill when using engineer knowing how to use the toggle enchantments properly.

    Why Pick and not sword?
    Engineer pickaxe was designed for a turret. You can break the turret ( made out of a dispenser which requires a pickaxe to break) with the pick. The turret and pick worked as in

    Holding pick - turret active - able to be assassinated
    Holding sword - turret deactivated - not able to be assassinated

    The pick made it so the class can be countered by assassin as it was too powerful to be able to block and shoot. Imagine a turret that shoots non stop while you block forever? Too unfair - pick came in. Now that the turret is gone what is the pick for? Why not let engineer block? Sure you could say its the tnt, but like chemist, they have to SWITCH HOTBAR to the tnt, making them vulnerable for Assassination. The engineer items are perfectly fine for a sword now. The pickaxe is no longer needed as it does not have to break anything and It can be used to fight.

    If the sword idea is disliked I would like to see the toggle enchantments in the pickaxe. I think the toggle enchantment idea is great.


    Cake - The cake rework is actually quite interesting. Holding cake was a nice new idea added and I think I want to add it in my rework. Holdable Cake for INFINITE REGEN 2 or 3.
    For regarding death tag, as an idea seen in suggestion, Engineer cake healing only removes death tag if the player is full health. Or there could be a timer to remove death tag?

    TNT - TNT i am happy with the normal tnt right now. The rework tnt is too slow and you can thus use it once per fight. The normal tnt is perfect and I would keep it.

    Speed Pad - Speed pad all fine. Just an improvement of a bug when you already have speed 2 and step on it, the pad does not work and you run out of speed. Make it work like assassin speed. If you click the dust twice, the second dust OVERTAKES the timer of the first. That's more of a bug than an idea rework

    Engineer achievements. - Again, engineer has been regarded as a throwaway tnt spamming annoying class. This idea rework gives the engineer a huge change. Now it does require some sort of skill to use it - switching kb or sharp, knowing when to hold your cake mid fight and many more! Engineer achievements should be changed. For elf, you have to get 1500 kills. For Chemist, you have to kill around 1500 to 2000 people. Soldier you have to cap 150 times or Assassin to assassinate 1000 people.

    Why is engineer so easy? Clicking healing aura 1000 times? Is that it? A rework is needed for engineer because and as the class improves, the achievements improve and the regard for the class improves as well.

    This'd be pretty cool, like giving it different modes in its usage

    im fine with how itd look with a sword, maybe there could be different tnt cooldowns for each sword where stronger melee weapons would have a longer cooldown and vice versa

    As for some possible tweaks to test, id find it interesting if we could test a role reversal of the speed pad and cake where the speed pad provides a speed aura rather than placing it and the cake can be placed and interacted with(whether its like a healing station or clickable source) to grant healing since I havent really seen the regen work out as a good offensive support healing source compared to the support it gives in the flagroom

    Man, I'd love to be able to right click 1000 times instead of having to kill 500 people with potions.

    Otherwise, playing against the class is really annoying imo, but I have no experience playing it myself so I can't really provide advice for it. I think I got the activate healing aura achievement maybe a week ago?

    Also, your idea is kinda flawed because a gold sword with Sharpness 1 deals less damage than a diamond sword, that just happens to have Knockback on it...

    You are trying to solve this problem, so I respect all of the thought you put into your post. I only really agree with your speed pad fix. I am not a engineer main nor a "class expert" so I won't be able to decipher many shortcomings from this rework.
