Seasonal Map Rotation

    Hello CTFers!

    For this upcoming festive time we decided to spice up the Seasonal Rotation!

    For every seasonal rotation we will be adding a small testing period on the weekend to optimize the seasonal Rotation.
    The Holiday Rotation will add every accepted Map, only the three most voted Maps will get prizes!
    We will also be giving out prizes to the top 3 most voted maps and even better rewards for original maps!

    We are asking you, the community, to create Winter Themed Maps:snowflake:
    New maps, Reworks and Reskins will be appreciated.
    Just a small advice: Please don't use snow slabs. Otherwise puhdgy will cry.

    You can submit your maps here.
    We will also be using a similar form from the official Map Wave, you'll be able to vote on each map.
    The Deadline for the submissions will be on: Thursday December 10th
    Testing will be on: December 11th until December 13th

    Update:
    After reading community's suggestion, we've decided to change a little the way we handled this Seasonal Map Rotation. The CTF Staff Team decided to accept almost all submitted maps. You can find here the maps we decided to implement into the new Festive Rotation, same for the maps we decided to remove.

    The new Festive Rotation is now on all CTF servers and will end on January 9!!

    Voting and prizes
    We are going to start the voting period on December 26! You guys can vote here on three maps you liked the most.

    The creators of the three most voted maps will get one of these prizes:
    • Two weeks of CTF Elite
    • One Item Rename Key
    • One Item Stat Key
    If it's an original map, the creator will be able to pick two of these prizes!

    For specific reasons, we decided to not count Chillout 2020 and Snowyworlds in the vote.

    Is there an actual updated list of maps in rotation somewhere? I looked at like 3 different places that normally would have them but they were outdated, I'd like to make some winter themed reskins, but idk which maps are actually still in :frowning:

    My personal opinion is that block for block reskins of existing maps should automatically get in and the testing should be reserved for original maps. There's already been 5 reskins submitted and they're all excellent reskins of good maps and it's a shame that at least 2 won't get in for no reason.

    To my knowledge, none of the map lists have been updated yet to correctly display wave XVII. The wiki is currently being worked on and the map list there will most likely be updated somewhere in the upcoming few days.

    Not sure if I’m reading this correctly but why are only 3 maps being added to the festive rotation. Everyone knows most of these “seasonal” rotations are terrible because they are outdated, this year it feels as if there has been a big increase in map creators and people willing to make festive maps. Rather than letting these maps go to waste, why not include all festive reskins maps which are actually viable and remove all the bad out dated maps from the festive rotation...

    This was changed, thread just has not been updated yet. The prizes are now instead reserved for the top 3 maps, but more than 3 maps will be added.
