I agree with both of you. We have been killing people in Syria, many innocent civilians. All we say to justify our actions is "They are terrorists and we are not." But we are enacting acts of terror against Syrians. It is very confusing. Paris just got attention because it was a massacre. Sadly, massacres in Syria of innocents are disregarded.

I'm not trying to justify this in any way, but cloudy, you have to remember this: One mans terrorist is another mans hero. Every time syria gets bombed, innocent children down there gets killed too. We (In some ways) are terrorists too for them, and heros for us. I think people are a bit to over the top with this whole Paris thing. But still R.I.P

I believe you used hypocritical incorrectly. True, only .8% more people lost there lives, but think about this. Some of those people were children. Children who had years ahead of them, happy and sad. Their lives were ended by the stupidity of these terrorists. You may say this is pointless, but I have already talked to people who live by the areas attacked. They have thanked me, and others. One of them said this, "It is only 3 words [pray for Paris], but it means a lot." How would you feel if your parents died in that theatre? The point is not just how many people died, but how they lost their lives when they had so much left in life to live.
