Did you read the post? He's saying that kits had an impact onto no soup, while they are barely usefull when you know how to soup on a soup server.
Impact? The only thing having a real impact is their soup skills. Kits are nothing more than comforts for some situations.

Miner doesn't break the whole group of ore when one is mined. It seems that most of the ability not linked to a direct item doesn't work.
Hulk actually doesn't work. You can't grab people.
