Story How do you like me now?

The Die had been cast, I was the premier super villain of our time. My girlfriend was a super hero and she had no idea that I was MR_EVIL_OVERLORD. The zombie apocalypse had slowly been occurring all over the world before it took over the city of Santa Cruz. The infestation had grown quickly and the CDC was unprepared to handle the outbreak.

As the city was being overrun the government decided that sending in the premier superhero group the Gladiators and the military to stop the infestation was the best strategic course of action. The idea was that by publicizing the battle the government would be able to restore public confidence.

That plan went to crap 2 hours in…

As the military and the metahumans prepared to battle the undead they overestimated the full effect of battling the undead. The dead were grotesque, the unconventional visual of dead zombies and trying to battle them using conventional arms and strategies was poorly conceived.

The last visual that anyone had seen was the undead approaching and the heroes preparing to do battle. Things happened so fast on the tv. I watched as the battle began like everyone in the world. We were all glued to the televisions watching the carnage and the US army fired high tech weapons meant to shock and awe the undead. The last thing we all saw was that the speedster @jkzoom had been infected. In a matter of seconds he infected many soldiers and the other super heroes. JKZoom was the super speedster and he infected everyone in a matter of seconds.

Then, everything went dark…

I’ll always be the bad guy but when the President of the United States calls you asking for help you know things are bad. The US government had no idea how to battle the infection. He asked me to put together a team to go into the hot zone. I already had my list of super villains that I would need to battle this zombie apocalypse and rescue my girlfriend as well as millions of Californians.

The president allowed me to select the best super villains our criminal justice system had locked up.

Time to recruit my team.
