Censor the name: 'Mao'

How many kids learn about every mass murderer? I was probably like 13 when I first heard of Mao, and he was never mentioned at all in my school...

I find it unnecessary to censor the name ''Mao''.
The name ''Hitler'' Or ''Nazies'' are censored because people use them as an insult towards german people.
But don't get me wrong though, I totally agree with you it's just that no-one ever uses ''Mao'' as an insult.

Hitler is not censored because of the acts of the historical person but because the word is sometimes used as an insult. I have never seen anyone use Mao, Lenin or Stalin as an insult (except for the post above) so there is no real point in censoring the word.

No names should be censored, you could be offending people who actually have that name.

 

We learned about Mao in the 5th grade. It's not even a thing that should be sugar-coated, it's history.

 

Tell me you did not mean that.
For every American soldier who died, 97 Russians and 11 Germans died.
For every British soldier who died, 34 CIVILIANS died due to hunger, torture, mass murder forms, or victims of war.
No offence, but America didn't have a personell side in the war.

I'm just gonna drop this here- some of my family died in the Holocaust and even I DONT THINK HITLER SHOULD BE CENSORED. Or Mao for that matter.

I think this nonsense of "Hitler killed 60 million" or "11 million" is precisely that: nonsense. Firstly, the deaths of WWII cannot possibly be counted, it's a war, **** happens, Gavrilo Princip didn't kill 20 million people or however many it was. All the talk of that it was Hitler who killed the millions in the Holocaust and no one else, except maybe his top advisors, is poppycock. Y'all Germanics voted him in, I'm not saying you guys specifically but your grandparents. Hitler was a monster but we can't act like he was the only one to blame. Therefore this whole argument of "he's a mass murderer, he killed millions" is silly and he shouldn't be censored.

 

Well, when someone brought up the topic yesterday which lead to Vincz posting this, people were saying stuff like lmao = Love Mao <3 etc.
It wasn't that bad, because nobody really said why Mao was awful. When I've seen like a 8 year old playing Brawl and asking who Hitler is, they're usually told and spam it when they get killed or get a 3ks or something. Things like - 'ong wth is wong withe u wer talkin in chet, f**k ofe u hitler b**trd.' Are a good example.

RubioTheNoobio Hitler conned everyone into voting for him, saying good things that he was going to do. He was really going to do those horrible things. And most of the Germans were only doing as Hitler said out of fear, because most of the higher ranks were proper Nazis who agreed with Hitler. This pretty much meant if the Germans did anything wrong they would be executed. Barely and Germans tried to escape but the ones that did (usually very early on in the war) often ended up dying in the end. So really it was all down to Hitler and most of the high-ranked Nazis.

 

Dude you are a big retard... I read everyday like "you suck hitler go back to killing jews" I have self writed it many times. Btw how can the germans now decide if Hitler would rule germany? I mean it was around 70 years ago. And you can't control your grandparents either, plus if the germans actually knew how Hitler was they wouldn't have voted for him.
