My thoughts on the class nerfs and reworks.

    Lets just get this over with, i dont like nerfs/reworks because it removes the fun of classes and makes it less fun.
    Reworks and nerfs can definitely remove an issue, but no one seems to realize that it can effect the other classes and other aspects of the game.

    Lets get into nerfs that have happened over the many years that i know of.(inform me if i miss any)

    Soldier nerfs: 1st nerf i believe was remove flag poison immunity, i see this as a downgrade to soldier making it unable to camp without a medic constantly, it makes recovery easier. 2nd nerf is every map having coal on the edges so soldier couldnt cnstantly climb on the side making it impossible to be killed unless kamikaze assassin or archer. 3rd is the climb cooldown which really didnt effect it on most maps.

    Archer: 1st and only nerf i believe is the range of the headshots.

    Medic: 1st and only nerf i believe is that it isnt an instaheal and restock anymore. It is now a timed heal and have to hit when fully healed to restock armor. It slows the ability to heal the team.

    Pyro: 1st is that the bow has to be fully charged to ignite enemies. 2nd nerf is nerfing instakill to frenzy which didnt really change pyro except making the 1st nerf worthless due to bow and flint now worthless.

    Ninja: nerfed eggs, sword from 5-6 to 4, redstone goes faster unless crouching, cant 414 as fast due to silly powder, only has one enderpearl that restocks when they land, removing instacapping but ghost capping is now very popular.

    Chemist: nerfed it to mana where they cant spam pots anymore, nerfed amount of healing pots, and archer decimates chemist due to doing like 18 hp in 1 arrow hit.

    Elf: nerfed air arrows to 2 when they are used, nerfs its mobility.

    Mage: nerfed its damage spell range.

    Necro: pretty much nerfed the entire class to the point where its only good for its armor and mob quantity.

    Engineer: the main reason necro is so heavily nerfed because engineer was and still is very abuseable even with its teleporter nerf, turret nerf, flag room nerf. They nerfed necro so bad because they saw necro as an undead engineer.

    Alright,

    soldiers nerfs effect the capping ability of it and its capability of survival. It boosts the recover ability of the classes due to all the nerfs.

    Archers nerf really didnt effect it that much.

    Medics nerf slows down the ability to heal a bunch of people, but with enough medics the nerf doesnt really matter and the flag carrier is really hard to kill.

    Pyros nerf boosted offensive capabilities a tad but frenzy basically made the bow nerf worthless and bow nerfless itself along with flint.

    Ninjas nerf effected recovery offense and defense capabilities due to not being able to instacap, or do as much damage.

    Chemists nerf thankfully removed pot spamming and dont have as many heal pots as they are already unkillable with medics and inside a building.

    Elfs arrow nerfed the only thing that it was good for in mobility and made it basically a support class now.

    Mages nerf didnt effect it that much

    Necros basically worthless

    Engineers still a pain.

    I got lazy at the end

    Here's what I think about it:
    Community Complains > Nerf > Community Complains More > No Changes > People Quit > Less $$$

    I think the community complains more can be switched with "community is hypocritical and complains about said change they wanted"

    Why even post this?

    Aside from this
    all you did was state the obvious, and never went into any detail about how nerfs "effect other classes and other aspects of the game". So from this I can only guess you're the one that doesn't know that, and are then projecting it onto the rest of us.

    I don't think nerfs are what is making the game less fun for you. Even though fun is subjective there are some other factors that also have an effect on it that are much less prevalent than nerfs to classes. the one we all seem to forget is time spent playing this game. It's been years and all the classes still do the same things the classes did years ago.

    I made this late at night, also, i made this because all i keep hearing is nerf this nerf that, etc. I hear nerfs for dwarf but no nerf for ghost cappers to balance out the nerf that dwarfll get.
