Idea The Benumber (Class Idea)

    So this is a class idea I had.
    It's called : the Benumber (benumb meaning, frozen, incapable of moving)

    Inventory:

    There's something special on the sword, when right-clicked, the benumber will explode(won't damage anyone) and make anyone around of the opposing team get slowness 3 for 5 seconds and get blindness for 1 second, but this move must be recharged to be used again, it must be recharged 30 seconds. But the snowballs, when it hits a player, the player gets slowness 3 for 2 seconds, the benumber is limited to 5 snowballs, it can't get more snowballs.
    Now here's the class' specialty, it can not take knockback

    The main idea of this class is to make it, when it captured to flag, able to defend itself and making the opposing team have a hard time trying to get the flag back. It can be in front of a group without taking knockback and getting everyone killed by all of the speedy classes.

    Sword right click mechanic - Ninja flashbomb with slowness instead of nausea and long cooldown
    Snowball mechanic - functions a lot like Medic's webs but not as effective
    No knockback - unique although has been suggested for other classes (i.e. Heavy) in the past

    All this class does is add more irritating cc mechanics to ctf without doing much else. We already have several classes for cc: medic, mage, necro (soft cc), archer, ninja (soft cc), and chemist. What's the point of adding more, especially in the form of a new class?

    How to improve what you have:

    -remove some of the cc (will make stealing/capturing very annoying if you have some of these guys standing around flag room entrances with all the slows)
    -significantly reduce the cooldown on the right click mechanic. 30 seconds is way too long for an ability that doesn't do damage and only gives slightly better cc than ninja's flashbulbs
    -completely change snowball mechanic so it isn't a lamer version of medic webs
    -give this class a purpose. What does it do that no other class does in terms of roles? And would this be fun to play for me/others? Ask yourself those questions
    -Consider changing no knickknack mechanic to be a toggle-able feature instead of a passive. Could make for some interesting gameplay instead of having this immoveable tank that functions as a cc dispenser

    Hmh, your're right. It must realy annoying fighting a guy that doesn't take any knockback
