Idea Please update the rules list

I was on Capture the Flag the other day when I came into something quite frustrating (and it's not the first time this has happened). Before I start talking about this, let me be clear... I'm not calling out anyone, but there's a lot of confusion among staff members over what is allowed and what isn't allowed. I feel like a large part of this is because the rules list has not been updated.

Many of you are familiar with the /rules command in game. This command directs you to the Brawl forums where there's only a few rules (which I can't remember off the top of my head). After reading through the rules (via /rules), I noticed that things which moderators will frequently condemn players for, such as spawn killing, targetting, and hurting your own teammates (pyro's fire), are not on the rules. I was later informed that there's a more in depth list of rules on another part of the forums. My argument here is that you can't have two lists of rules that are different. Not everyone playing CTF will have a forums account, so when they do /rules they should expect to see all the rules so they don't get in trouble. So if not all the rules are listed when a player types /rules, they really shouldn't be getting punished because what the rules "supposedly" say isn't in the /rules command. Players can't be expected to know what the ACTUAL rules are if when they type /rules the things they're getting warned about aren't even in that list.

The other day I was getting lit on fire intentionally by a player on my own team and when I informed a mod, he said he couldn't do anything about it because it wasn't on the rules (which it wasn't). When I told another mod, this mod spectated the player that was doing this because according to that mod, it is against the rules. Clearly, there's confusion over what the actual rules are if one mod says harming your own teammates isn't against the rules and another mod says it is.

Another example of this confusion. When I rejoined CTF a few months back, I asked a staff member if credit boosting was allowed. This mod told me yes. A few days later, there were players credit boosting and they got warned by a moderator not to do this.

Please update the rules list to avoid this type of confusion. How are players supposed to know what they can and can't do if half the stuff they're getting punished for isn't even in the /rules command???
