Announce ppms ingame

    I just had the idea of ppm hosts/mods being able to make a ppm announcement ingame to attract more players to the competitive scene. Like the messages in chat right before a ppm happens. Maybe have a Link to a forum post that explains ppms and the rules and directs you to the ctf discord server to sign up

    That way its easier to see when a ppm is going to happen, and informs newer players of what the ctf server has to offer :smile:

    100% agree with this. It took me 2 years of sweating in casual to even realize that the competitive side of CTF was a thing.

    We've implemented something slightly different. We're now regularly broadcasting this:

    This was slightly easier to implement and will mean the link to the Discord is posted more frequently. We didn't go with broadcasting whenever a PPM happens because there's not much a new player can do with that info - it'll be too late to join the PPM, and they probably won't spectate it.

    I've brought up the possibility of making a thread about PPMs similar to this, but shorter so new players are more likely to read it. It'll be linked somewhere on the Discord to introduce new players. Or we may just put this information directly in a Discord channel - we'll see.
