Intro A new page in my life.

I have returned.
I told you guys I'd be back the day my problems I listed in my outro were solved. They were a challenge to overcome, and there were times in which I felt like giving up.

But here I am.

My grades are now improving from when I left, and I will put school as a top priority in my freshmen year, where I will also study Computer Programming. My dad has miraculously changed his behavior and is now being the good father he never was before, which really brings me into tears. For the soccer team, I will now attend all the practices and make our team victorious in the games, even if we lose.

I have returned from a coming of age.

My past.
I think I've already mentioned my story on how I discovered McWar, and Brawl in general. This is for those wanting a quick review

Wanted a server with a custom Battlefield 3 map. Didn't find one. Googled COD Minecraft servers. Found McWar.

Here are some personal questions with personal answers. Enjoy!

How did you come up with your username?
I think I spent a whole week brainstorming usernames before I bought the card. I didn't want anything too overused like: MercuryGaming, xXMercuryXx, Mercury1234. I wanted my name to be something that described me, and was unique in every way.

I came up with a username a lot better than the ones I used with the cracked client. “FC” stands for Football club, an abbreviation that usually resides next to a football club (FC Barcelona, Arsenal FC etc). “Mercury” is not based on the element or the planet, but rather to my preferred cleats in the pitch, Nike Mercurials. “EL” is an abbreviation of my name which I will not obviously reveal for privacy. Finally, “7” is my favorite number. If I ever am in the mood to get an alternate account, I will surely name it Neovenator_ (nee-o-ven-a-tor) , a name that means “new hunter” in Latin. I enjoy the concept of the meaning, as in the aging legendary hunter one has been replaced.


Why did you apply for mod?
If you said to the old me I would apply for Mc-War, I'd laugh. I really had no intentions of joining the moderation team, as I cared more about having fun than being a role model for the community. A lot has changed since then.

Puberty hit me. I matured. I began to view from a realist viewpoint ( Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton is a really powerful novel...beyond those pesky Velociraptors). I began to realize the world is composed of many ugly things - but can be easily fixed. My actions were now influenced by consequences and what-ifs. The past is dead, learn from it, advance.

I began to do something about it. I started helping my family, friends, acquaintances, and later, everyone who needed it. I changed a lot. I was a better person, and I was determined to only move forward.

I simply felt I could provide something to the community.

Favorites?
My favorite color would be vivid red (#ff1c24a). I've always loved Daft Punk and any other music I listened to at a very young age. I also enjoy listening to Kendrick Lamar, as they have a deeper meaning opposed to the money-making rappers. My favourite sport is Football (Soccer), where I reside on the attacking wings on my team. The teams which I root for are: Manchester United, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chivas Guadalajara.

My favorite server is of course the McWar category. I like to have fun on it, and not rage over my KDR (I can guarantee I have never intentionally raged...ever).

Final thoughts
I honestly can't express my joy, the honor that I have to help everyone and to keep our community safe and sound. It really sounds cheesy, but I couldn't be where I am if it weren't for these special people.
