There should be a way to view the old resigned/demoted staff on the forums, here's my suggestion.

Under the "Staff" tab on the forums there will be an extra addition that says Resigned/Demoted staff, (under the wiki team, of course).

Once you click on it, the site will redirect you to the bottom of www.brawl.com/staff, under the wiki team (again), here you can view all the demoted and resigned staff.

Meh, would be cool and all, but people that were demoted shouldn't get recognition.
Only resigned staff should have that.

In my opinion, demoted staff members shouldn't be on that list. However, It's not a bad idea to have a specific section for retired staff members.

Guess that means I won't be put on the list.
    That's fine.

If this were to happen, there could be a reason for resignation/demotion for the member.

I think only resigned staff should be there, but demoted could be there with hhe reason like Majora said.

That's not a bad idea. I don't think members who resigned would need a reason though.

I would keep those who resigned or were demoted for inactivity. Inactivity doesn't reflect how well a moderator actually does the moderating; it only shows that he didn't do it enough. Majora was a really good mod, he deserves the recognition.

I agree. Demotion is not always going to stem from something bad.
It wouldn't be a bad idea. I would honestly like it. There are several old mods that no one knows.

Most staff that have resigned/demoted should be on there with an exception to some people that had a really big reason to get demoted. Like hacks and stuff.

Since they aren't technically staff anymore, it wouldn't make sense to put them in the Staff section. I would think adding a retired tag for retired staff would be a better idea.

    Very true.
I was demoted for inactivity. I did my job well, but that was not enough.

Here are some things to think about:
    • Think about the amount of people that will be in the "Retired" group. We've had 11 mods resign in the last 3 months. Check out Bukkit's "Retired Staff" section.
    • Do we really want to recognize some mods that have been demoted, or even some that have resigned? A lot of mods go crazy after they lose their rank.
    • What status will the tag bring these retired staff members? Will we have to keep an eye on them to see if they are misbehaving?
Giving the status to only some demoted/resigned mods brings in the factor of who should exactly have the tag. This could start a lot of drama for something that isn't really needed.

Most retired staff update their forum custom title to "Retired ___ Mod" which is fine with me.

How about an "expirienced player" rank? The requirements could be something like being a staff member for 4 months or so. The rank would show that the player is trustworthy and can be talked to if a player has questions about the servers.

The rank could also be optional.

When the tag encounters a retired staff member like Colonel_Chris, their exceptional work is what puts them into that section.
I believe the main requirement is if the moderator reached global and performed a sufficient level of work afterwards - yet I agree this is difficult to determine what amounts to a sufficient level of work.

Personally, I feel retired staff members (like Chris & Others) deserve that permanent mark of respect - a simple, "retired" blue tag indicating their respectable, free-willed service.

He was never a staff member...?

I think a list of resigned staff might be nice, but not really necessary.

We are talking about list of former staff here.... Do you really want to see Invader42 on that list? That wouldn't be nice of you.
