Outro MC-WAR

    Goodbye War
    Many of you know me. You either know me by my current name, or my old one, Jonathanb987. I've been playing War for about two years. It was one was my first servers that I ever joined. I've accomplished a lot, met some great people, and had great times.​

    Why Am I Leaving?
    I am leaving because of the new changes and updates. My computer can't handle war and 1.8 combined. I have severe problems with my RAM limitations and overall computer problems. I can't get a new computer until I work over the summer and gain the money for a new computer. My computer is barely scraping by with 1.7.2. 1.8 uses much more physical memory than other versions. After attempting to play war on 1.8, my computer froze. After unfreezing, it blinked off and it felt very hot; it even had a burning smell to it. My computer has shown that it refuses to run 1.8. I simply can't do it.

    My Future
    I will always be on fpsHG. Hopefully fpsHG doesn't update to 1.8, because I don't see any reason why it should have to. I will stop in war very quickly every once in a while just to see changes and things like that. Please, if you would like to keep in touch or play fpsHG with me send me a friend request.

    I don't think this is a permanent outro, so for now i will say, cya in the summer! Btw, instead of buying a new computer, have you ever though buy some more RAM chips (if there are available ram slots in your computer)? What processor does your computer run anyway?

    It kills me to see you go.. You were one of the best mods I have ever seen; nice, helpful and kind. You were one of the people that kept FTW together during rough times, and helped it grow into the great clan it is. I hope you see you this summer or sooner when your computer is fixed; or have a new one. Thank you, jonathanb987.

    Why are you leaving ? You realize that they are changing everything back to how it was, or maybe you try optifine? But I really don't know what to say, but if hate to see you go :frowning:

    Just buy a completely new ram set if that is the only limit. Though if your computer could barely run 1.7, one of the easiest to run versions of mc and it overheats for 1.8, I think it is time for a complete upgrade

    Checkout Craigslist for good deals. I bought a MSI GT70 Dominator Dragon Edition laptop at almost 1/2 price. If you have a good understanding of specs you can get some great deals.

    Also, I built my desktop the "Terminator" by buying parts at Microcenter. It's a couple of years old but it is still a beast.

    From your description, it sounds like you might need a new Graphics Card, rather than ram (which doesn't do very much for gaming) and that would help you out.

    Both computers cost less that 1 brand new computer and they have off the chart specs (with a few upgrades).

    Rule of thumb, towers are better because you can constantly upgrade them. Big laptops with room for guts are also easier to upgrade. Slim laptops are difficult to upgrade.

    What do you mean they are changing it back to how it was?

    It's not the new chat changes and all that, it's 1.8.
