How To Get Better at War?

Don't play on servers where any good clan bases itself. Pretty much, don't go to Server 1-3 or 12.

 

Don't worry, Im lvl 51 and still a scrub XD I mean im ok, but 1.72 kdr isnt the best :v

@Striker_Sly dont even say anything about your magnificent kdr

 

Gosh, I'm lvl 45, and I have 1.77 kdr. Wow!

*cough* me *cough* (joking)... Siriously: This tip is a good one. I have watched video's of @King_Daan and i am now level 92! I started watching his video's when i was like level 25 or something. Since level 36 i reached my first nuke on haloOutpost TDM with the L120_Isolator. Trained with the video of @King_Daan : Typical Iso Map.
So this is a great tip!

I am interested in joining an existing clan. I've been a General in 2x 200+ plus clans. Evil is unfortunately taken.

 

@MR_EVIL_OVERLORD well...that sucks.
Fortunately, if I make a clan, I'll name it...****You will never know (mostly because I don't want anybody else to take it.

 

I don't think KDR really matters...

I think you are pretty good.

 

You just need to play more war and eventually you'll become better. And I would suggest to not rush in, but just stay behind others so you won't die first. (<--- That doesn't really work when people target you).


Oh and maybe SKILLaura works well...

The Evil Overlords Art of War (cliff notes, the real version will cost ya!)

1. Use a sniper rifle. If you learn it, it will be your best friend. Skip the shotguns, I don't ever use them. And use your sidearm when reloading your rifle.
2. Don't rush in, let others do that. Your real value is flanking or moving to the side of the other team. Where they can't see you. It helps to have ninja moves.
3. Study Youtube videos on everyone who nukes. Everyone has a particular style. I prefer @kjhgamer aka Joeymast99's videos. He had a very distinctive style which compliments my more methodical style. It helps to vary your approach to how you play every map. @Andoconda_ , @King_Daan
4. Discover the art of sniping @Audi_ and @jkzoom are great people to learn from. Study their guides. They are in the forums, you just have to look.
5. Don't stand out in the open or in a doorway or window. These are easy places for people to spam.
6. Know the maps, weapons, and strategy to play each. Same goes for infect. (I've found maps where I prefer a sniper rifle to a ray gun and can be quite effective in infect).
7. When retreating or trying to get someone who is hiding. Throw nades or molotovs. I do this when I am also being rushed, it helps to bide you time while you reload or until reinforcements arrive. @Wolfasa got some molotovs today and they can be quite annoying.
8. Study the game. Learn choke points, flanking areas, and how to parkour. Parkour can save your life (especially in infect). It also helps to be in a good clan. A bad clan can really hurt you. You want to have teammates who are able to keep the enemy off balance.
9. Play with a purpose @jkzoom, play with your Dragon on your shoulder (have a chip on your shoulder but don't rage). I find it relaxing to solve problems and every game, set of players, and maps are a different set of problems.
10. Let your Evil Overlord out and wreck em'.
