In the CTF community, we have had many people on the radar for hackers, we even had our own Slack hacker watch channel. Many people such as Miskey and others needed a place to report hackers, that may not have been caught by server staff otherwise. Since I am new to the Brawl community, I am not antiquated to how these servers work, along with many other MCPVP regulars. Would it be allowed to have a specific place for those who would like to report a possible Rule Breaker/Hacker? I believe that it would definitely help out the staff a lot, instead of having to comb through numerous threads about possible hackers on CTF, they could just easily visit a specified CTF Hacker Report page. and if necessary, PM the submitter of the post.

I agree, but the staff could go and look, say every week or something, to check and evaluate the hacker reports. I understand that the staff does not work in the same way as it did on MCPvP, but it would most likely make it easier on the staff, so they wouldn't have to roam around on the forums for hours trying to assess Hacker Reports.

There's already a thread asking for it, but I still think it's an idea that should be moved over.

Do reporters get feedback on if the player was banned or was insufficient?

Idk about you, but a faster method of banning hackers in game would be nice. Really not good for business if you force your players to suffer through the cheap crap that are hackers. HRC was a huge help in MCPVP and kept hacking on the down low. From the amount of hacker reports I've submitted in the past 2 days I've been here, you guys have a problem with it. Efficiency is key to a better server.

Keep the players happy and you'll be happy. Keep the players happy by keeping hackers off the server. With the current system, it's just too slow and makes the game less enjoyable when we suffer through 5 consecutive deaths due to a kid with forcefield. Very annoying when a Mod just sits by and says "If you think a player is hacking, go on the forums and report with substantial proof!" It just doesn't go over well. Yes, they're banned eventually, but we really shouldn't settle for eventually when you have players trying to enjoy a good game.

I like the server, but it's reporting system is just not great.

I agree with Brandino. Also the fact that most hackers aren't exactly going to be active on the server means that'll you ban them a while later it's not really doing much.

The safest way to get a cheater banned is by recording and reporting at report.brawl.com, although there is other ways to get a moderators attention sooner.

You could PM a moderator on the TS to notify them of a hacker and you can also do /report (reason) in-game that sends a global message to all moderators online.

A way to get rid of hackers quickly and efficiently.... there is no perfect solution, but it can only get better! Just plz don't use auto-ban. I've gotten auto_banned on many occasions for "fly hacking" when I jump of a building or sponges lag.

We now have a slack page: https://www.brawl.com/threads/39828/
I don't think this topic needs further discussion. If you have anymore questions, just revert the conversation to the Slack thread above.
