Idea 40 minute game?!

    I mean, this is a new server and we have a coder and owner that listens to the community, rather than just doing his own thing. Sooooooooooo... Why not try to get this back in place? I mean last time we tried it didn't work out, but basically the entire ctf community was saying that it should be 40 minutes. So, maybe this is a topic that should be brought up again ^_^

    Or maybe even 30 minutes? (I'd like 40 tbh tho x3)

    If you have a 40 minute game, that means the game is inherently not fast paced. Besides, what if you're having a bad game or hate the map, why would you want to sit there for 40 minutes? You wouldn't; you'd just leave.

    I'm not certain that a 40 minute timer would be needed very often. I guess I wouldn't mind though. It's not really hurting anything.

    I wouldn't like a 40-minute game timer for any map except Blackout. If the game goes on for 40 minutes, it's a standoff that's been going on too long. But, on Blackout it's pretty easy to recover and it's just face paced gameplay.

    ctf basically seems like a 20-40 minute game now because you can't even capture the flag

    I like it cuz rly intense games could last longer
    and I can get bigger killstreaks ofcourse!!!!!!!

    At the time of 40 minute games, it seemed absurd to make the timer shorter. Nowadays we've adapted, and I think a faster-paced game with a shorter timer is where CTF is going. Just my opinion.

    30 minutes is enough. 40 minutes is too long.

    There's a difference between fast paced and rushed. The 15 minute games usually don't give enough time for the attackers to break through the defense, or the recoverers to recover the flag and let their team cap. Also, if you are having a bad game, you can just switch servers.
